"What? What else?" Serina blinked her big eyes and looked at Derek.
Derek looked up at Serina and touched her face. "I am investigating. When it finishes, I will tell you the whole story."
"Alright then." Serina pursed.
"Good girl," Derek said as he stroked Serina's head.
"Have you had dinner? I haven't yet. Come and eat with me."
"Alright."
Derek accompanied Serina for dinner and stayed there at night.
Because her foot was still wrapped in a thick bandage, Serina could not take a bath and could only wipe her body.
She leaned against the bed and played a game on her phone. The sound of running water came from the bathroom. Derek was taking a shower.
"GAME OVER!"
Serina sighed, threw her phone aside, and looked at the bathroom.
She suddenly thought of Ernest's words.
A rich man arranged for a woman live in an extra house.
Wasn't she in the same situation now?
