Let Her Go

"When you are discharged from the hospital, you will know whether my image collapsed or not!"

Derek winked at Serina with a smirk.

Serina turned around and saw Yolanda standing at the door.

"Mom!"

Derek turned around. Yolanda looked a little unnatural. She stood at the door and did not come in.

Derek stood up. "Please come in."

"How have you been?" Yolanda asked as she walked in.

"Much better." Serina smiled at Yolanda. How could there be any hatred between mother and daughter?

"That's good." Yolanda nodded. She seemed to have something to say, but she had not said it all the time.

Serina looked at Derek, signaling him to leave, but he did not move.

"It doesn't matter. I will talk to my mother," Serina pleaded again.

"Then I'll be outside." Derek couldn't resist Serina, so he had to leave.

When Derek left, Yolanda finally felt a little more natural. "I know everything now. It was my fault before."
