Ben got up and squatted in front of Audrey.
"Auntie, how are you? Are you alright?" Ben looked at Audrey worriedly.
Audrey touched Ben's face with a smile, "Don't worry. I'm fine."
Seeing Ben, Audrey thought a lot.
'If ... if it hadn't been an ectopic pregnancy, that child ... would have grown up to his age.'
'However, there's no assumption.'
'The child was lost.'
'Moreover, with such a father, that child would have been criticized by people even if she had given birth.'
Just as she was thinking, a small hand waved in front of her.
Seeing she kept silent, Ben waved his hand.
"Ben, what's wrong?"
Ben looked at Audrey worriedly, "Auntie, I just talked to you, but you didn't answer me. I thought you were not well."
Audrey replied with a smile, "I'm fine. I just wandered off. Why are you here alone? Where are your parents?"
"My mother left home six years ago and has never come back. My father works in a restaurant."
He was a kid with a single parent.
