A Good Girl

Kara arrived at home and put down her bag. Then Libby came up to her with a bowl of medicine.

Kara winced and wanted to run away but when she saw Uncle James staring at her with cold eyes, she gave up her thought, picking up the bowl and taking the medicine.

"So bitter."

Kara mumbled and took the glass handed by James. After taking a sip, she found that it was a little different from the usual syrup. She licked her lips.

"What is this?"

Kara asked curiously.

Libby explained with a smile, "It is a special liquid, also a kind of medicine. Mr. James told me to prepare it for you."

Kara was surprised. She remembered she had complained to him that drinking medicine made her smell bad. Did James remember her words and find a kind of medicine that could help her get rid of the smell of medicine?

She bowed her head and sniffed. The liquid was odorless but it tasted sweet and cool, like mint.

She exhaled and smelled the fragrance of jasmine.

This kind of medicine was so wonderful.
