She Can't Hate Him

Kara woke up again. Under the bright light, her mind was still a little messy, thinking that she had a nightmare.

But that was not a nightmare. It was a reality that was even crueler than a nightmare.

If it was him who saved her the first time, she could deceive herself and treat it as a mistake, but this time, she could not play dumb.

Looking at her hugging herself and lowering her head to shed tears, his eyes were deep and dark, and there was a bit of worry. James hugged her in his arms.

In a fit of pique, Kara pushed him away and wrapped herself in the quilt angrily.

"Kara, don't make me angry again, understand?"

Knowing that the little girl always liked to overthink, he stroked her little head and said softly.

Kara widened her eyes and stared at him in shock. She did not believe that he was the one who said this.

She lost control of her emotions and burst into tears. The man in front of her was not the James that she knew.
