This Feels So Good

The sound of thunder sounded for a while, and soon, it was raining heavily.

Under the bright light, the girl was nestled in the man's arms. Her little face was buried in his arms. Her small body was curled up as if she had dug a hole in his arms. Only when she was in it did she feel safe.

The corner of James's eyes got a little red. He patted her little head gently to comfort her.

"Kara, why are you afraid of thunder?" He tried to divert her attention.

The study room was silent. They could only hear each other's breathing. James was not in a hurry so he patiently waited for her to answer.

"Mom passed away when there was thunder. Later, when Dad went to find Mom, there was also thunder." She said in a sobbing tone.

It was obvious that the wounds caused by her parents' death had been hidden in the deepest part of her heart and every time there was thunder, she would feel scared and hurt.

The wounds overlapped, and they worsened.
