Kara's cries got louder, and James helplessly furrowed his brows.
"Kara, how can you move a man by crying? When did you learn such a despicable method?"
Kara was frightened by James' cold shout and stopped crying.
She stared at James with a grievance.
"Kara, no matter whether I will leave you or not, you have to learn to be independent. Don't do silly things like sitting on the stairs and waiting for somebody." James calmly tried to reason with Kara.
"Kara, if you love me, you have to love yourself better. Do you understand?"
Kara bit her lips while holding back her crying, and then she turned to hide in the quilt.
James said nothing.
He frowned and took his bathrobe to take a shower.
Cold water washed his head, and he repeatedly thought about Kara's reaction. James guessed that Kara might know something.
He had always been straightforward and bold when he did things. But when he met Kara, he became unlike himself. He became hesitating and unable to be ruthless.
