He Was Going to Send Her Away

The four of them talked about the information for a few more hours. After they left the clubhouse, James sent Silence back to the army.

"Silence, will you be engaged according to your family's arrangements?"

James asked him all of a sudden.

Silence disdained to listen to his family and marry a woman he barely knew.

If he was that obedient, he wouldn't have waited for Arya for sixteen years.

After waiting for sixteen years, was he afraid of waiting a few more years? Of course not.

"What do you think?" he asked.

"You're my best friend. I will get you a nice gift for your engagement." James sneered.

Silence didn't reply.

Silence knew that James was joking. And he also knew that James would vent to others when he felt bad.

When James returned to the villa, it was already late at night. He went upstairs to the bedroom and saw that the woman on the bed was already asleep.

He walked quietly and squatted down beside the bed. Looking at her eyes, he knew that she must be crying.
