No Longer Begging for Mercy

Cedric's sudden visit caused the Smiths to fall into a panic. Carl was in the basement whipping Isabella. When he heard that Cedric was visiting, he immediately went upstairs. "Cedric is here? Why is he here?"

"I don't know, Mr. Carl. Why don't we just say that Isabella hasn't returned yet?" the old housekeeper said anxiously.

"No, we can't!"

Carl wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Lock her up. I will receive him myself."

"Alright."

Cedric stood at the door with a bunch of lilies in his arms. Carl came to open the door and said warmly, "Mr. Cedric! Mr. Cedric, it's my great pleasure that you come."

"Mr. Carl, is Isabella home? I want to see her."

Cedric did not like the Smiths and even felt disgusted when he saw Carl. However, Isabella had not cut the relationship with the Smiths. He still needed to show his respect for them.

"She's here, but she felt very tired today and fell asleep early. Why don't you contact her tomorrow morning?" Carl said calmly.
