Make Up for It

Ann looked at Melinda.

Melinda looked at her with gentle eyes as if she was no different from other parents who deeply loved their children.

"Thank you."

Ann wasn't used to it.

She could not completely forgive what Melinda had done in the past, nor could she be sure if Melinda was doing it with ulterior motives.

But Ann had her blood, which could not be changed.

When Melinda heard Ann's words of thanks, she seemed to heave a sigh of relief. There were even tears at the corners of her eyes.

"Good girl, you and Phillip rushed over at this time. You haven't eaten yet, right? I will look after your father. You guys can have something to eat."

Ann shook her head. "I want to talk to Dad here."

Maybe, William would wake up.

Melinda nodded. "Then I will buy you something. You have to eat something, or your dad won't be happy with it."

When Melinda left the ward, Ann looked at William in a daze. Then she thought of a thing.
