Two Years

It was dawn. Jane slowly woke up. She had been feeding her two sons recently. They were too good at eating. She did not have enough milk and had to mix milk powder to feed them.

They were plump and round. The person they liked the most was Dayton, not her. It was likely that they disliked their nicknames.

"Mommy, let me do it."

Dayton did not go to school on the weekend. He took care of the two twins. He was also a kid. But he learned to make milk powder for his younger brothers. He was quite skilled, and the water temperature was controlled well.

"Well."

Dayton blinked, his gaze pleading. Jane was puzzled. She could not wait to push the work to someone else.

The twins were not sensible. They cried as long as she fed them milk powder, making her upset.

She thought that they might not like her very much, but then she realized that William was also not welcomed.

Jane felt balanced.

"They like me the most."

"Is it, my younger brothers?" Starry murmured.
