I Mean What I Say

Hazel hung up and called her younger brother, who was in college. Hazel told him to take good care of himself.

As soon as Hazel finished the call, her phone rang again.

Hazel couldn't help feeling nervous as it was from her agent. Hazel didn't know how to excuse herself yet.

Hazel's agent was Fannie Chastain, who was shrewish. Fannie was an experienced agent in the industry. Although she often vented her anger on others, those who wanted to be famous celebrities had to rely on her and couldn't afford to annoy her.

Since Hazel hadn't returned a message to Fannie for nearly three days, Hazel was sure that the latter wouldn't let her off easily.

Hazel answered the phone with her shaky hand. She was so tense that she turned on the speaker as well.

"Hazel, where are you? You don't want to be an artist anymore, do you?"

In an instant, all those in the ward heard Fannie's loud voice clearly. Dave could hardly remain calm anymore.

He was shocked by Fannie's rudeness.
