Play to the End

Hazel wanted to struggle. Edie and Dave weren't outsiders. In front of them, there was no need to act.

"We'd better play to the end. Stay with me tonight."

Baron held Hazel in his arms for a moment before he realized that there were still two people waiting to eat in the living room.

Hazel had just cooked dumplings after the steak and spaghetti were ready.

"I can't wait to taste the dumplings."

Edie reached for the plate and missed.

Baron calmly placed the plate in front of him and picked up the dumplings with chopsticks. Well, it tasted good.

On the dining table, there were exquisite silver tableware, crystal glasses, Piper-Heidsieck, steak, and spaghetti. The dumplings appeared out of place.

Baron closed his eyes as he ate. He felt warm in his heart.

"Baron, what are you doing? Hazel made dumplings for us, not for you alone."

Edie was dissatisfied. Compared to the rarely seen cooking of Baron, she was more eager to eat the dumplings made by Hazel.
