Baron's Standpoint

"Baron, are you serious?"

Roger was shocked. It was the first time that Baron had not used the tricks. As expected, men would change their minds for their beloved women.

Hazel was very good. But, as a friend of Baron, Roger did not think such a relationship could last long since there was a huge gap between Hazel's and Baron's family backgrounds. Leon was a typical example of failure.

Roger was pessimistic not because he was biased. The prominent families had some restrictions, preventing outsiders from integrating into them.

"Look at Leon, all these years..."

Roger wanted to say something, but he hesitated. It was not the right time to talk about this now.

"Baron is not Leon, and Hazel is not that woman."

Edie retorted. She thought, 'Roger isn't good at speaking. He only cares about the family background. As long as Baron likes Hazel, it's enough. As a friend, I can only support him.'

"Edie, don't misunderstand me."
