Misfortune and Salvation

"Leroy, actually, there is still a way."

Leroy slowly raised his head and looked at Layton.

"Let go of her. And don't disturb her anymore. Perhaps in this way, she will recover from the pain of her brother's death one day..."

"That's impossible. She is mine. She can only stay with me and even die in my arms!"

Layton was a little shocked. He tried to persuade Leroy and said, "It isn't worthwhile to do that for a woman. You could find a better girl after leaving her."

"Yes, just for a woman..." Leroy said in depression and lowered his eyes again.

He believed that everything can be negotiated and traded. So he would strive for anything profitable by any means.

But Reyna was different.

He wouldn't let go of her.

Even if they could never be reconciled, he wouldn't let go of her.

It was her misfortune to meet him.

And it was his salvation to meet her.

...

Reyna felt better the next day after being put on a drip.
