Coldness

"Leroy. Thank you for saving Lance." Reyna looked up, "Well, about Bentley, I apologize to you. Though this apology has come rather late, and what I say now means nothing..."

"Then, what's the point?" Leroy looked up at Reyna as coldly as ever, "Reyna, don't you know that a late apology is a knife to cut open an old scar again?"

Reyna looked down and did not even dare to face Leroy, "I'm so sorry."

"Reyna, I never lacked an apology from you."

Leroy stood up and walked upstairs.

Reyna sat there by herself. She was lonely. For the first time, she felt a deep sense of defeat.

Reyna knew it very well. Since Leroy saved Lance, he wouldn't hurt Lance again.

But there was no way Leroy was going to let Reyna see Lance either.

Reyna had to live with the pain of knowing that Lance was alive and not being able to see him.
