The Inverted Mountain

There was a large courtyard in a building complex at the foot of the inverted mountain. Dozens of outer disciples were lined up at the gate, waiting to receive their daily tasks.

Flora took Luke straight into the courtyard, ignoring the envious eyes of all the outer disciples.

In the yard, a big fellow with whiskers was receiving the plate of daily tasks beside a young man with much bowing and nodding:

"Senior Brother, I am just short of a little contribution to enter the spirit gathering array and I want to take an extra task."

Hearing this, the people behind showed pity and schadenfreude.

"New comer?"

The man who issued the task plate made a slight move, withdrew the plate, looked up and glanced at the man with whiskers and asked.

"Yes, yes."

The man with whiskers was completely unaware of the disaster that had befallen him and nodded his head like a chicken pecking rice.

"Why are you working so hard? You don't have to do the task today. Just find a place to rest. Next."
