Chapter 6: Dylan

Emmal...Emmaline or Emmeline... what was her name again? Whatever her name is, she's one of the best students. She's quite nerd type, but still so helpful. She must be good as a friend. She always gets such good grade? Wow, she's really talented. But that's not my business now. My only business is now to avoid Ollie.

I need to see the whole college around. If my assumption is right, then she'll obviously offer me to show the school around. Oh,she came back to class again, took her seat. One, Two, Three!

-"You didn't see the college around, right? Do you want me to show it around?"

I literally got shocked by my pure assumption. She must wanna be a friend of mine. But it's okay if she doesn't say it out loud cause I never saw a girl approaching first to be a friend or be in a relationship. If she does that, I'll be sure that she's my type.

-"Are you free right now? I was about to ask you to help me to visit the college."

She seems way much happier hearing it from me. I've been famous for my good looks since my elementary school, but also I was that type of kid other kids wanted to avoid. That's a long history. Girls thought of me as a bully and others just ignored me to go with a flow. So Emma is the first girl who approached me like this. So will it be so wrong if I take it otherwise? I don't think so.

Emma is so active that it seems like she's in charge of showing the college around to new students. She's pointing to the basketball ground and trying to convince me indirectly to shoot it. It's the real time to show my manly behaviour, I smirked on my own, I mean I didn't let her notice my smirk. I stepped in the basketball ground and felt like it was worth coming to this college. I got to play in such a big ground. Oh! There's another boy I can see. I tried to look closely and he's also coming in this direction while talking to a girl. And that girl is quite arrogant cause it's not a usual sight for me to see a girl hanging around a boy's neck inside a college campus. She looks like a monkey, but cheerful enough to enlighten someone's mood right then.

What! I couldn't even avoid him on my first day! Seems like he's whispering something to that tomboy's ear. But I don't think he even saw me. Whatever I don't want to face him, but if I go back now she'll think I can't play basketball while I'm a pro player.

-"What the hell is he doing here!" Ollie stopped there and said looking at me.

-"Yeah? You know him? I never saw him before. Is he new here or something?" That tomboy replied looking at him once and then at me. After looking at Emmaline, I understood actually how confusing this situation is in her perspective. She's looking at Ollie and then moved her gaze to me and then that girl.

-"Oh, you two know each other? That's good, then you can play a match here." I understand that she wants to break the awkward silence, but I don't want this fact to be exposed that I know Ollie.

-"What? No way, I don't know him!" I kinda yelled and heard repeatation of my words. Darn it! Coincidentally we yelled together which made the whole thing clear to both of them.

-"I don't know him but I'd like to play a match with this dude." Ollie said boldly with a sarcasm which is creeping me out.

-"Yeah, I'd love to!" I'm just bursting out of anger inside. How dare he challenges me! My teeth are clenched together and making a friction. Oh yeah, that's my anger effect. I can't express how angry exactly I'm right now.

-"Okay, then I'll be referee." Emmaline is glowing. I could say that she's happy to be able to see me play basketball as most of the girls have a fantasy over the guys who play basketball and look cool when they play. But deep down inside I could say it's all about my imagination.

He's running with the ball fiercely. He would never go easy on me, I knew that. What I didn't knew was he had been a good player now. He's energetic and I can see fire sparkling in his eyes.

The ball is in my hand now. I can't let him take over again. This game is super interesting and I came to understand it when I saw a quite big crowd around the ground and heard the simultaneous applause.
