Half of my soldiers were dead after fighting like wild dogs for not more than half an hour. I regretted ever coming here. The only reason I was even here was because of the duke's orders. I shook my head. What was I even thinking? The duke selected me to catch him. I have to do my job well or if I don't then.....forget it.
I felt someone's gaze on me, eyeing me thoroughly. Shivers ran down to every pore of my body. I looked back again only to see "his" stare. Those eyes watching everyone of my actions made me flinch instinctively. I saw him snicker for a second that was later changed back to how his face was before.
A sweet smile across his face with eyes closed as he listened to songs from his headphones while also sipping down the juice at the same time without a care in the world. Why is he standing like that when now is the best time to run? Why was he even here when there was nothing I could do to him? Why the hell did that guy do all of that? What's with those changes in his expressions and moods? These were the questions eating away at my brain cells.
All my worries were gone like a flu when I saw a blue ray of light shooting through the sky. The man too looked caught off guard by this. But that was replaced by boredom.The light slowly faded away revealing five individuals standing in the center of the web of cracks created by that light. The mindlessly fighting officers too turned towards the source of the light. Though they couldn't see the five of them because of the walls in the way of their line of sight.
I took a step towards the rectangular gap leading to the pilot's chamber. When he met my eyes, he calmly nodded and clicked a key on the other corner of his seat.
Suddenly, a holographic structure of the whole site was right in front of my eyes. I picked up the woki toki and without a change in expression clicked on the button under it. Without a second of delay, I spoke loud enough for the other side to hear it.
"Team. 19121225, can you hear me? I repeat can you hear me?"
*kshhhh*
{We can hear you}
"Good to talk to you again. I would love to talk more but we have got more pressing matters to attend," Though my words were stern, my tone was instead quite polite.
{Yes, we understand commander}
"Good"
"Now, tell me all your names and skills under a span of a minute," I didn't had a liberty to waste too much time here while that man plays with the soldiers that I trained so hard. The ones whom I spent a lot of time with. I had grown attached to them but if things were to continue as they were then I don't think it would be a surprise if all of them were dead by the time we finish our introduction.
{Leader:
Skill: Daze Lv 3
I can change the view of the world for at most two people if I try hard at the same time for ten seconds. Their thinking state stagnates, good for assassination. The ability lasts for only three seconds though. How I do that is not yet explained by the level of technology we have.

Skill: Lohrite materialization Lv 2
I can materialize the material- Lohrite made by the change in the laws of 1% metal and 10% granite from the presence of something like air but I can feel it like my arm present in the air. I am good at arts of sword and thus mostly prefer close combat. But the time limit for my ability is only 5 minutes and 15 minutes of cool down.

Skill: Sound wave controller Lv 3
I have the control over the waves produced by the vibration of the motion of particles in the atmosphere by converting the laws of the wave and changing its direction to myself. But there are many things to keep in mind before using my ability. Firstly, I am not able to change the directions of the sound waves more than 20 cm away from me depending upon the situation the number may change. I can't keep my ability active for a duration more than 4 seconds and it has a ten seconds cool down. So I have to trust my reaction time and your decision making for when to activate my ability. I also don't have full control over the sound waves because of my low level in it. That's about it, my lord.

Skill: Immobilize lv 2
I can repulse the south and north of a person away from them if I touch two people and then change the laws of the gravitational pull directing towards them from underneath from a balanced force to an unbalanced force and move its direction towards the second person. I also change the laws of gravity on the second person by directing the force to the first person. Obviously I can increase the force of gravity 5 times of its original because of the above steps. The forces stop both the people from moving as long as my ability is active. But I have to be in the contact with both of them at the same time so that the processing of the formulas is easier for me to perform it. The process takes at least a minute at maximum and if I have to do it faster than that then chances of success decrease.

Skill: Whisper Lv unknown
Your majesty, my skill allows me to direct the thoughts of one person to another for five seconds. The distance should be close to 50 meters approximately. The ability leaves me in a blank state for a minute of cool down. It leaves me to my enemy's mercy without reliable teammates. The thought process of that person just keeps on rewinding in my brain and one of his memories is shown to me in that minute of blank state. My case is a little similar to the captain as even I don't know the cause of this ability.}
I should have known these guys aren't strong enough to take him down even if I give them a million years with those levels, restrictions and strength but I will have to place my trust in them as they are going to be the last resort.
Without wasting anymore time I gave them the orders.
"Alright, all of you try to get closer to the coordinates I give you. Fast, we don't have time," I made it so that they will understand the importance of time we have left before everyone dies.

After a short while, the woki toki rang again. It had a metallic color opposite to the grey color of the helicopter. I had made a plan in that short time that may help the ones who can still be saved. Though I am not so sure whether or not will we succeed but I am not going to run away from a battlefield.
"Yes, have you secured a safe position?"
{Yes, my lord}
"What do you see?"
{The man in black you told us to finish and the people whom you bought here to catch him "murdering" each other}
I sighed hearing the person on the other side talk of all this without a change in tone.
"Are you exactly on the coordinates I assigned?"
{Yes, we are standing right on that point}
"Okay, that should be good enough. Now...," I pinched my fingers to zoom in to the field. When I could spot a few yellow dots a few meters away from the man, my eyes brightened up as my lips curled upwards.
I walked over to the exit of the helicopter. After reaching it, I turned my gaze downwards to where the slaughter was still continuing. I shifted my gaze to that man who bent down to pick the pebble under his feet. That looked normal enough but when he threw that exactly on the spot where many yellow dots met creating a circle my heart skipped a beat.
*Thump
*Thump
*Thump
I could clearly hear my heart beating resonating in the helicopter. It was as if something penetrated my chest from inside out. Sweat rolled down my head reaching the cheek and still continued rolling downwards my jaw.
*Tak*
He threw the pebble without any hesitation. The pebble dropped a few meters away from him and that made me regain hope for a second but.....it didn't stop. It bounced off the flat ground and tapped exactly at the center of the circle of yellow dots.
I forgot to breath for a second due to the thought that I was being played.
I saw him chuckle after seeing my reaction for some reason. He then laid his back against the car with his hands in his pockets of the hoodie and eyes closed but the smile on his face never faded as he hummed breaking the silent atmosphere allowing me to remember to breath in again.
The smile on his face that claimed victory before I even had the chance to react made me rethink my decision to fight him. I could tell it as clear as day that the guy that was humming without a care in the world was just playing around with that little trick he used up until now.
