Old Man POV
I SEnt the only melee combatant I had to fight that man head-on with a wave controller as his backup. They didn't stop to question for a second what was that they were supposed to do. The moment I gave them the orders they obediently had already left.
I peered at the holographic map inside the metallic walls of the helicopter I was riding. My right hand was inside a bag of chocolates. I unwrapped one and took a bite with my eyes furrowed on the single yellow color dot slowly heading towards the red dot. While another yellow dot took a long curve and after some time stopped parallel to the red dot in the left direction.
*crunch
I took a large bite of the chocolate as my eyes darted from one point to another.
Currently, the other two Reveleons were sent by me to help the ones that still held onto their sense of self.
Using my left hand to bring out my phone. I pressed the button on the side to switch it on, then suddenly a green-colored screen popped up. I grinned and began typing on it with the in-built keyboard it had. The moment my fingers left the device, a huge explosion unfolded outside exactly where my "underlings" were. I didn't bother to look outside because it was me who decoded the weaponry under the duke. The weaponry was locked in a warehouse but since they were automatic and had sensors in them I just switched the anti-mana bomb on and coded the location of where I was. The rest is history.
"The next thing I have to do is give orders to them," I spoke while picking up the Woki Toki and turning it on.
"Can you hear me?"
{Yes commander} There was a very disturbing background noise coming from the other side.
"So, crunch, No. 4 use your skill on them. You only have half a minute," I talked while munching down the chocolates with my left-hand typing on the keyboard and eyes staring at the holographic map.
I supported the Woki Toki with my shoulder and cheek. The pilot turned the green lights on that reflected on my pupils.
{I am on it}
I got up from the seat and walked over to the small rectangular window to look at the situation.
The gas was effective as they were no longer in his control "completely". He still had control over their body so the fighting didn't stop.
The officers would have been out of any Ravaleon's control that uses mana except him. I can say it with certainty as I have a shit ton of experience in this department.
The mindless soldiers turned their heads to the side when they saw a woman clad in white approaching them with a frightening speed. But before they could even react all of them were taken out by her. She kicked the knee of the first guy, then took the support of her hands and sprang up like a jet and then kicked the jaw of the man only a foot away from the first one with the back of her feet.
Her flexibility still amazes me. In a matter of minutes, all of them were down on their knees.
She placed her palms on two of them and closed her eyes. The essence of the universe or what we call it - Mana - was being materialized by her though it was directly interfering with the officer's brain so it was not possible to see it with the naked eye until you are a Ravaleon.
A few others felt the danger of her and ran in her direction to finish her off.
'That man again. Can't he just mind his own damn business for once and let me take my soldiers back? How the hell can he even control those guys even when fighting a sword user?" I rubbed my temples in frustration when I saw the others run towards her. There's no damn way they would come to her just because they could smell her. That man is pulling the strings even while fighting.
It wasn't as if I didn't expect this though.
*Swipe*
*Pierce*
Two bullets penetrated the chests of the two guys that ran after her but not killing them as it was a mana-laced bullet that prevented damaging the cells of a human but was enough to just paralyze them. In short, that gun was only given to commanders and I was the one who gave that to him.
"Good job No.1," I brought the Woki Toki closer to my mouth and appreciated him with my eyes still focused on the scene.
{...}
In the next five minutes, both of them had brought ten of the hypnotized officers to their knees.
'They will be good for now," I pondered a bit and eventually jumped down the helicopter after opening the gate.
As each one of them was busy fighting and even that man, none of them were able to detect my presence. In midair, I opened the parachute as I reached closer to the ground.
My legs touched the ground and I waited at that spot for a few seconds before running in the direction where I had sent No.2 to fight.
*Smash*
*Smack*
*Kick*
I heard the sound of melee fighting louder and louder with each step I took. When I caught a glimpse of them I had immediately taken cover beside a large rock that formed after the bombings.
I glanced at the scene of the two people fighting with the corner of my eye.
From the looks of it, the criminal seemed to be the one winning here.
I sighed seeing that my expectations weren't met though I did have a counter for it too.
"No.3 If you can hear me, continue according to the plan. I repeat continue accordingly in 3....2..."
{Phooo!}
He breathed out the anxiousness. Well, I understand his worries as even I would be in the same situation as him with how much burden he has to carry right now. It's now or never.
"1!"
Silence descended the moment I uttered the last number. If he failed then everything I had planned until now will be the end.
Fortunately, he was successful when I saw that man showing weird movements. I heaved a sigh in relief.
"No.1 exactly after 15 seconds go for a finishing blow," I ordered and walked away from the scene in a confident way.
"15," I counted backward while walking to the helicopter that just landed a few meters away from me.
*Turn* He turned his feet backward marking the beginning of the skill I had seen more than hundreds of times.
"13"
*Whirl* The aura around him changed greatly as he bent down to the level of his solar plexus.
"10"
*Hit* No.2 continued attacking him but purposefully missing the openings. He moved his body according to the way I had told him to.
"7"
*Swish* In a blink of an eye his right leg swiped No.2's leg turning it to an impossible degree.
"5"
*Pow* Another kick landed on his face in less than a second making him roll his eyes up.
"4"
*Grab* That man grabbed No.2's shirt before he could touch the ground and turned around with his back leg.
"2"
*Whiff* His left hand grabbing No 2's shirt and right hand behind waiting for the right moment to strike.
"1"
*Smash* The attack landed exactly on his face dropping him unconscious.
After finishing him off, the man dropped him on the ground. He turned around to have a look only to lose his consciousness. At the same time, the other two were finished with handling the officers too.
All of this was what must have happened as my back was facing the scene.
I walked inside the helicopter without looking back. After noticing that the holographic map was still switched on, I decided to close it. Then I picked up the Woki Toki that I placed beside me after taking a seat and ordered the others again.
"All right, bring him to the place I told you at the start," I said that while munching down on chocolate bars.
{Yes sir}
