Chapter 5 : Ashborn

"I shall name you, Ashborn"

A window came up and showed a message that he was in approval of the name and that his stats have gone up by 1 just for naming him.

I dont know why this world is so different from what I, from a different world have experienced but I like it, the events are similar but at the same time, not at all.

for now, I should go rest, and process all of this as I cancel the summon for Ashborn. I'll deal with it later.

As I suspected, I could remove the window with my mind by just asking for it to be hidden and to be shown.

Today's been, surprising, to say the least as I walk towards the hostel to sleep, oblivious to the fact that someone, somewhere in a dark robe was watching silently, disappearing before an eyes notice.

Walking along the halls of the high building, its walls brightened by the numerous spells of which our God has given us, the pillars stood tall and the walls of the building held us, this was the cathedral of the Light church. its beauty can not be compared with anything, nor anyone, I look over the new arrivals to join the church and can see that they are happy to, who wouldnt.

As I walk to the office of our esteemed priest, the one who has a connection to our God and is said to have lived for as long as now just to serve him, even now no one knows how old he is, and no one wants to ask to risk their faith being shaken or for the best, if possible, awoken.

Opening the door to the priest's office, it couldnt really be called an office but something more, the walls of the room has symbols that shined blue with the wall background all white, the ceiling had a cross with six stars around it and the windows were positioned behind him for which the reason was asked he said,

"I would much rather believe the attack of a sinner than the attack of one of our own with faith."

it wasn't to diminish the thought of one of our own betraying us but to further bring out the ones whose hearts are vile.

"Ah, Timothy. Come, come, have a seat." he looked up at me, a man looking as old as time could further show with a smile on his face, white hair on his scalp, not long but not too short, his robe was all white, clad with symbols and the cross on a material hung around his neck and down to his ankles. He stood there, despite his age, he looked bustling with more energy than a child.

I take a seat after greeting him and he does too, he starts off making funny commentaries on his age and looks and how it feels for me to be young... it took a long time but since its him, i have a lot of patience to spare.

"Ah, what a sight to have someone like you in the church but that's not what I called you here for," suddenly turning serious, he stands and looks out of the window, his back to me as he continues.

"Someone else, has awoken the system, somewhere."

I stand from my seat in a near state panic, one without a shred of my calmness I usually had with me.

He could understand why this was like this, Even in the church, there has only been 6 people who have awoken the "system", even in the world as it is, there has only been 10, six are with the church, two that appeared at the dark church that we have killed off, one that awoken but died from a fight with one of ours and now, this one. I have been trying my best to...

I broke out of my trance, I looked at him, his eyes on me as I take my seat.

"we have to bring him into the church if he's not an enemy, but if he is," he turned back to face me with a smile almost as scary as finding out that this man in front of me, was God's eye on earth.

"we shall remove a sin from the world".

waking up to the ever so loud voice of the superintendents, I get up groaning hoping all the things that happened yesterday was a dream, I thought of the window opening and it came infront of me, although it couldn't be seen by others I didnt get much bothered by that, I wouldve just killed them off to keep it secret.

i stand up from bed and change into my towel and carry a face towel with me, while walking towards the bathroom with thoughts of how today might be, I decided to just leave it as it would only make me more and more concerned about it.

I took this time to read more about myself and the abilities I have.

BLACK FIRE (PASSIVE)

Your essence. A fire born of the anger, regret, feelings and emotions of your soul, the stronger your soul, the stronger your black fire. it devours any and every soul and life forces for its strength, non dependant of the strength of the soul, as well as most potent abilities of your foes, transforming it into something that suits your soul.

SHADOW REPLICATION AND MORPHING (PASSIVE)

Power seized from another. changed to suit a soul as dark as yours, your shadow is not yours, your shadow is your legion, your abilities can be shared with your legions, black fire included.

DARK SHIELD (ACTIVE)

Creates a shield of darkness as solid as stone and as soft as the clouds, it's easy use can be used interchangeably and with the darkness effect. seized from another to suit your soul.

DARKNESS (FEAR AND ANXIETY) EFFECT [PASSIVE]

The mist about you, dark as night with its etching and malicious look causes your enemies to experience fear, stopping their mobility for three seconds before they break out of it, but if they are weak, may be stopped for a longer duration as long as you will it.

SOUL FIRE (ACTIVE)

Created from the power seized from another, red fire

and combined with one you wield, black fire; from the soul exuberating a fire so wishing to not just devour anything but souls, any soul is its meal and any soul is it's own, not yours to strengthen.

DEATH'S ANGEL (SKILL)

A skill from God of chaos, created from your black fire, soul fire and darkness. It creates a being, death; with the figure and the dark eyes of truth and lies from the soul. Your combat ability will be undeniable.
