Imperial City in night at Jason's Mansion,

Jason ordered one of his men to drive Seren to the Trust Hospital as he thought it was not good for her to drive alone at night time. He insisted on dropping her at the hospital but she declined immediately. He understood that Seren was a little uncomfortable around him as he had just confessed his feelings to her to which he had received a clear-cut rejection. Hence he asked his men to drive her there safely. He would at least be at ease when he sent one of his men with her.

Soon Seren left the mansion as Jason was staring at her car until it disappeared from his sight. Jason was standing at his mansion's entrance when he saw a white Aston Martin Vantage approaching forward. He had already guessed who it must be. As the two men from the car came out Jason turned his back and said, " Good timing Alex. Come and have a drink with me".

Jason entered his mansion as the two men followed him. Jason strode towards his bar room where there were lots of wines and alcohol liquids were kept like a museum showpiece. Jason sat on the couch in the room and the two men sat beside him leaving some space between them.

Louis asked, " What happened to you? Are you still upset on me?".

Jason looked at Alex and said, " Who is this kid? Is he your new secretary? Why does he speak so informally to others? Did you not teach him some manners?".

Alex ignored Jason's question and asked him something different, " Why do you want to have a drink suddenly? Didn't you had an heart surgery a few days ago? ".

Louis who was surprised asked, " What? Heart surgery? When did this happen?".

Louis who was worried looked at Jason and asked, " Are you fine? How did you get hurt? Are you taking your medicines?".

Jason replied, " Alex please tell your kid to stay away from me. Otherwise I might just kill him right here. You know its not that hard for me".

Alex didn't say anything. Louis said, " Jason will you please stop sulking? I know you're mad at me because I didn't meet you when I came back but I really had some work. I was planning to meet you soon".

Jason who was frowned replied, " When were you planning to meet me? When my body was in the coffin or when I was buried under a tombstone?".

Louis said, " Fine. I'm really sorry. If you want you can hit me. Alright?".

A hard punch was thrown on Louis's face out of nowhere. Louis was flabbergasted by Jason's sudden action. Soon after a moment Louis gave a punch on Jason's face. Alex was calm as he saw these two bickering and fighting like kids.

Louis who had just punched Jason said, " Man I just said it. Was there any need to really hit me?".

Jason confronted, " You bastard. Leaving us for 8 years without even a contact. Do you wish me to let you off just with a simple sorry? A punch was really needed".

Alex asked one of the servants to bring the ice bags and passed it to both of them each. They both were applying ice on their face where it was swollen.

After some silence Louis asked , " What about your heart surgery? How did you got hurt?".

Jason replied, " It's nothing serious. I was on a mission when I was stabbed on my chest due to which the heart surgery was performed on me. It's fine now. Just have a drink with me".

Alex asked, " Are you upset about something? Did your consultant doctor give you permission to drink".

Jason ignored Alex as he asked one of the servants to bring an expensive bottle of wine. He poured the wine to three of them. Jason took his glass and gulped down the whole wine in one breath. Louis noticed something unusual.

Louis asked, " Jason what's wrong?".

Jason said with a bitter smile on his face, " I was rejected even before I started experiencing what actually love is?".

Alex asked, " Did you confess your feelings to someone?".

Jason nodded his head as he poured wine in his glass again. Louis snatched away the wine bottle from Jason as he noticed he was drinking a lot of it.

Louis asked keeping the wine bottle away from him," Do you want to get hospitalized again?".

Jason said to Louis, " Give me the wine back".

Louis frowned as he said, " What the heck? Who is your consultant doctor tell me. First I need to check if you're allowed to drink it or not".

Jason felt his heart would break into pieces just by mentioning his consulting doctor. Jason replied, " The doctor who performed surgery one me first treated me and then broke my heart again".

Alex who understood something asked, " So you are saying that you like the doctor who performed surgery on you and you confessed to her today but she directly rejected you".

Jason nodded his head and fell silent. Louis asked, " Why did she reject you? Does she have a boyfriend? ".

Jason shook his head saying no. Alex asked , " Is it because you're the leader of the underworld and she doesn't want someone who is the head of the nation's powerful underworld organisation ?".

Jason replied, " She says that she has no problem with me but the problem is within herself".

Louis asked, " What a weird woman? If she has no problem with your anything then why the hell does she reject such handsome man?".

Jason replied, " She said that she doesn't want to get involved in love matters or marriage things".

Louis asked, " How old is the woman you love? Is she a 23- 24 old teenager? If she is young then do not worry. Women at the start say that they don't want to fall in love but eventually when they turn 26-27, they'll get married".

Jason replied, " How do you know about women?".

Louis said, " Even though I haven't dated anyone but still I heard it from my friend".

Jason replied, "She's 27 and is older than me from 2 years".

Louis who was surprised asked, " What? So your first love is the woman who is older than you? Then why does she reject you? Is she married already?".

Jason replied, " I even checked her past but I found nothing. It says that she had many men courting on her even till this day but she has never accepted one nor does she likes any man".

Alex replied, " I guess she's not at all interested in love and marriage thing like other girls are. All she wants is just a peaceful life".

Louis asked, " So after she rejected you what did you do?".

Jason replied, " I asked her to be friends with me at least as I don't want to lose someone like her".

Alex asked, " Did she accept it?".

Jason nodded. Louis commented, " I am sure that woman is stubborn and determined on not getting married her entire life. I suggest you to just be satisfied being friends with her. The more you expect, the more you'll get hurt".

Jason said, " I know that I shouldn't expect something from her. I'm happy just being friends with her as long as we are not strangers to each other".

The three friends chatted for some time more and soon Alex and Louis went to their houses back after making sure that Jason doesn't drink alcohol anymore.

Jason was on a secret mission when he was hurt due to which he had to have an heart surgery performed on him. The surgeon who performed the surgery was Seren itself as she was one of the best cardiologist in the entire nation. Jason was the leader of the biggest underground world organisation of the nation and so getting the best treatment was a must for him.

After the surgery, Doctors had recommended him to have bed rest for few weeks but as he was not used to stay silent for so much time hence he used to get angry easily by being frustrated. As Seren was his consultant doctor hence she took care of him like she did it for other patients. Seren was the only one who could handle this upset kid. Jason liked how Seren would take care of him when others were scared just to be in one room with him. Jason has never had many friends and relatives as he was the only child of his parents. And because of Jason's profession never did anyone approach him. But Seren was different. She was never bothered by Jason's profession or his family background even though Jason was rumored to be the cold tyrant who would mercilessly kill someone when betrayed but for Seren he was nothing more than a patient whom she had to take care of.

As Jason started taking interest in Seren he asked his men to search information about her that's when he got to know about her cruel family. He ordered his men to dig up some secret of Rose Wen, her step-sister and gave it to Seren referring it as a 'Thank you gift' for taking care of him during his stay. With Jason's power it was just a piece of cake for him to find these harassing pictures of Rose Wen. Seren used these pictures to threat the Wen family so that they wont dare to do anything to her anymore. But it seemed that Jason's gift had some hidden intentions behind it. Jason planned to tell about his feelings to Seren when he would invite her for a dinner but sadly she rejected him.

Louis and Alex were Jason's childhood friends as the three of them studied in the same high school together and were of same age. Alex and Louis always supported Jason and never thought of him as a different person despite knowing his family background and their profession. As Louis left for abroad that's when these friends got busy in their own careers. Alex was in contact with Jason till now but Louis didn't even call him and so he was upset on his behavior. But soon he forgave Louis as he knew that his friend won't do it deliberately.

Other than Jake and Max, Jason was also one of the bestest friend of Louis. Alex and Louis were close to each other too and would share everything with each other. Louis had many people who cared for him unlike Seren who was all alone and just had few people around her.
