I'LL HELP YOU.

Imperial City in Seren and Louis's apartment at night,

After a cute family moment, it was sleeping time. Today Seren helped Lucas wash up before sleeping cause Louis had hurt his hand. Every day Louis used to help Lucas because he hadn't recovered from his surgery. Now lucas was fine after so many days but still, Seren insisted on letting her help him. Lucas was flustered because his mother was going to help him with a bath today but he didn't dare to say no to her. She was the one who cared and loved him after all.

Lucas was already done with his bath and now Louis was going for one but suddenly seren called him, " I suggest don't take a bath. Your wound needs to stay away from water".

Louis replied, " It's fine. I won't let it get wet".

Seren was drying lucas's wet hair when suddenly this cute little kid said something, " Mom how about you help dad? He got hurt on his palm so he surely will get his wound wet if he even just washes his face".

Seren looked at Louis through the dressing table mirror as he was standing behind her. Louis asked, " Will you help me wifey?".

Seren sighed and replied, " Alright but we'll only be washing your face....no shower".

Louis said as he smiled, " ofcourse".

After seren made Lucas's hair dry completely she asked him to sit in his room and gave him a book to read until she accompanies Louis. It's been days since Seren was sleeping with Lucas fearing he might get scared alone at night and our poor quack Louis used to sleep alone missing his wild cat Seren but still lucas was more important than his sleep so he too never complained about it.

Before leaving she asked one last time to make sure, " Lucas are you sure being alone by yourself?".

She was afraid that he might sit in the dark and cry alone again. Lucas smiled and assured her, " I'm fine mom. I'll be reading this book until you come back. Now go to help dad quick".

Seren pecked Lucas on his forehead and said, " Mommy will be right back, okay baby?".

Lucas nodded and then Seren left towards the bedroom. When she entered the bathroom that was open, she was Louis half naked who just finished brushing his teeth.

Seren asked, " Why did you remove your shirt?".

Louis replied nonchalantly, " It might've got wet so just in case".

Seren sighed looking at him. The perfect definition of a well defined man was right in front of her eyes.....how can a woman not go crazy there? She closed her eyes for a moment and said to herself in her mind, " Don't you dare lose focus. You are only here to help him Seren, and nothing more".

She opened her eyes when Louis asked her, " Wifey can you do me a favor? Can you shampoo my hair too? It feels greasy".

Seren mumbled to herself, " As long as you don't ask me to shower you".

Louis asked, " Did you say something?".

Seren replied, " I'll help you".

Seren made Louis lie down keeping his head in the bath tub and his body on the floor outside. She herself settled down in the bathtub and then washed louis's hair. Both were quiet in the meantime. It was an awkward silence for both of them. After she was done washing his hair, she took a towel and wiped his head. She even helped him wash his face.

After Louis was done washing up, they both came out of the bathroom together. Seren went towards the dressing table to fetch the hair dryer and Louis too followed her just like that. When Seren turned, she bumped into Louis as her face touched his bare chest. She almost kissed his body.

Seren looked up to him and asked, " Why are you following me around?".

He replied, " I don't know. I just came to see what you were doing".

Seren replied annoyingly, " Just sit at one place stable so that I can dry your hair".

Louis nodded like an obedient puppy and sat down at end side of the bed. Seren dried his wet hair with the hair dryer evenly.

( Author's pov....if this novel was a webtoon or manga then I seriously would've drawn puppy ears to louis right now at this scene >~< ).

After Seren was done with drying his hair she said, " It's all done. You can sleep now".

Louis said with a smile, " Hmm. Thanks wifey".

Seren was just about to leave when Louis suddenly held her from the back as he hugged her. Seren was surprised by his sudden action as she questioned him, " Louis what are you--".

She was cut off by Louis when he said, " I understand".

Seren was confused, " What do you understand? Why are you doing this suddenly?".

Louis replied leaning his head on her shoulder, " I was curious why Lucas wants to be in your embrace? Now I understand. Your touch feels soft and assuring".

Seren didn't know what she should do right now. Louis held her even close for one last time. He didn't want to let go of her. He wanted to cuddle and sleep together with her. He missed her all these nights when she wasn't beside him. He didn't get proper sleep when she wasn't by his side. Louis inhaled her scent. He just wanted to be like this with her forever.

After a moment Seren said, " Can you let go of me? Lucas must be waiting".

Louis wanted to say no but he swallowed his words again and replied, "Hmm. Good night wifey. Sleep tight".

He let go of her slowly. Seren directly left the bedroom without looking back at him even once. Louis was all alone again. He strode towards his bed and lied down.

He thought to himself, " Does she not feel anything for me? Am I no one to her? Sometimes I feel like she cares for me but sometimes she behaves as if I just don't exist to her. My heart beats like crazy just by staying this close to her. Does she not feel any of it?".

Louis sighed, " I seriously don't know what's happening to me these days".
