Chapter 36 ( What is wrong with you)

it was already night when I got back so I just went straight to the inn, I went through the back, claimed the fence and jumped it and Damn I regretted it when I landed on the ground, my feet were a pain for a while " fuck " I whispered not wanting to draw attention.

looking at the huge building before me, I could tell it had 3 floors but the number of rooms was unknown to me. looking for a way to get in, there was a tree close to the window on the second floor, I smiled and made my to it, I look down at my dress and I know it may give me a had time " fuck this dress" I cursed and began claiming, I got to the window and I could not see anything because the cotton was closed. I opened the window and move the cotton slowly to peep if anyone was in, luckily for me no one was in, I quickly made my way in. the room was big and well furnished, the wallpaper was stunning, the shelves, table and chair were well polished and the bed was neatly arranged, I wanted to stare at the beautiful paintings on the wall but I had no time I have to find clues. I was about to leave the room when I heard footsteps coming towards the room " fuck " I quickly hid under the bed and the door opened, two ladies walked in

" I still can't believe that he committed suicide, he looked okay the last time I came " one of the said

" I already told you to drop this matter it doesn't concern us, " the other said and I watch her walk to the dresser mirror and sat down, I had no idea what she was doing

" But I can't, he was very close to me, I have a feeling that so-called Big boss is responsible for..... " the other cut her off

" Anna!!!" she scolded " watch your mouth, the walls have ears you, we came here for business and once we are done we go back home, I don't want us to bring father trouble, you and I know the consequences" I guess they were sisters

" fine" the one Anna said reluctantly and sat on the bed " but I don't like the new manager, he is not nice "

" It is none of our business " just then we heard a knock on the door

" who is it, " Anna asked

" I was sent to inform you that the minister is waiting," the person said out, immediately Anna stood up

" ok, we'll be down in a minute" the other Lady replied " ok Anna, we can do this ok, just make sure he signs the document"

" Ok " Anna replied and they left the room.

I rolled out of my hiding spot and stood up " the manager was killed?" I whispered," why?" I quickly made my way out of the room, the hallway didn't have many people, just a cleaner and a man heading in my direction, I stood straight and pretended to be a guest at the inn and we walked past each other, as we did the man winked at and I gave a confused look but ignored him, I had other things to do.

I made my way to the top floor trying to see if I will be able to find the manager's office. I peeped into several rooms and found nothing, some I got cut and lied that I was looking for my room while some were locked. I finally took one last turn that lead to a dark hallway, well it was that dark, nor was it bright, the light was little " well this looks unsafe " I said and began walking I got to a door, it was the only door at the hallway and tried opening it but it was locked, I reached for my hair and took out my hairpin, I felt as my hair came pouring down. After a while of struggling with the pin, the door opened and behold, it was the office I was looking for, one will never suspect it because it looked like an abandoned room from the hallway.

I entered the huge office, confused about where to start searching especially because I didn't know what I was looking for. I searched the shelves, the books and files for anything important but nothing, then I went to the table and searched the files, I found a map that was marked at several points, some were circled while some were circled and hashed at the same time, the even circled two places in France " what is this for " I thought. I ignored it and began to search the drawers and one of them was locked, I took my hairpin again and opened the drawer and found the map of the building then I heard people talking from a distance then I folded the map and hid it in my dress. I ran to the door to listen and heard that they were just guests at the inn and I was relieved knowing that they won't come here. after a while, the voice fades and I quickly made my way out of the room and locked the door " now what next " I asked myself as I walked quickly so I won't get caught but I was unlucky, the moment I took that turn I crashed into someone and landed on my butt " arch " I yelled in pain

" Fuck " it was a very deep and aggressive voice, I opened my eye and was shocked to see the man on the floor in front of me, he had blond hair and brown eyes, with a scar on his left eye and he was nicely dressed " who are and what are you doing here" he yelled

" shit " immediately I got up and began to run " fuck I messed up again " I whispered

" fucking stop right there" I heard him from behind. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, taking several turns and bumping into people who threw several curses at me but I didn't mind, all I cared about was not getting caught.

running down the stairs through the hallway, I took a turn and my heart almost left my body when someone pulled me to a room, covering my mouth, I almost panicked when I felt the familiarity of the personal touch, I knew who it was, there was only one person's touch that felt so warm, claiming and smells like this, Rowan. raising my head to look at the person behind me our gaze met, I saw anger and at the same time happiness in his eyes and I whispered his name into his hand " Rowan " I have never been so happy to see someone like me was right now. I watched as he listened to make sure that the man was gone before letting me go.

I turned to face him " what are you doing here Natalia " he scolded angrily but I couldn't stop the feeling I was having right now, only now did I realize how much I have missed him, it has been only a day and I missed him so badly, his eyes, his voice, his perfect figure, his presence, his warmth, his words of security, everything the

" what are you doing here Natalia " I scold angrily, I didn't enjoy yelling at her but she was driving me crazy and she had no idea, I can't believe she came back, and she even came to the inn and got her self in trouble, what is wrong with her, " I thought I sent you back home, why are you here and how the fuck did you escape does soldiers "

" wow you used the F word " she smiled taking me to a whole level of confusion

" are you insane" I yelled " you could have been killed if I didn't show up do you want to die, Natalia, what do you think will happen to me if something happens....." before I could finish my sentence they cut me off by jumping on my body with excitement immediately I caught her, she hugs me tight like I was going to vanish if she let go then said those words that melted me instantly " I missed you so much"
