Grandfather

Mrs. Maimunah's mother had a blank look on her face. Without any more warmth and love for her. Maya Agustin had gone too far by leaving her mother and child behind. She treated Maya Agustin as just a stranger she never knew.

As for Shasha, although there was a little emotion in her heart, that emotion meant more pain and pity. It had been a long time since she had forgotten everything about her mother. Even though now she was in the same city with her mother. Shasha's existence was not much valuable from Regina, her stepdaughter. Regina was cared for by Maya as a baby, all her affection was given to the child, Maya Agustin was blind to the great love for Ryan, her husband. Even though her husband had betrayed her, she was more afraid of losing Ryan's love than losing the love of Shasha and her mother. Ryan, her husband was very handsome, Maya must get rid of many other women to marry him, of course, must be redeemed by the sacrifice of being a mother and a child who should be devoted to her parents.  Love has blinded the eyes of her heart.

Even though she now realized it was her mistake, she had already lost the love and respect from both of them.

Now she wanted to return to her family, but both Mrs. Maimunah and Isaac were not so sure of her sincerity.

Maya Agustin must prove herself and have the courage to make sacrifices. Leaving Ryan and Regina.

Maya's heart trembled with fear. She was so afraid that she would not even dare to make a decision, to leave her beloved husband.

Her eyes stared intently at Mr. Rahmat full of hatred, that man must be the culprit. He must be laughing it off behind her back.

Maya's heart was covered with revenge. This man hurt her for the second time again. Wait, this war isn't over yet, I'll make some calculations, Maya promised herself.

In the middle of the night, Shasha found her grandfather in the study, her heart hurt to see her grandfather. Living alone in a house this big was not very pleasant. Shasha could feel the loneliness and solitude of her grandfather that was heart wrenching.

So far, Shasha was very familiar with the old man, not as her grandfather but as Mr. Yus, a fried food trader.

Every Friday afternoon, Mr. Yus helped her in the natural garden, pushing a cart to her boarding house, tidied up the scattered books after the children studying session, cleaned the gazebo, and took out the trash.

Mr. Yus often distributed what he sold for free to children, without fear of loss. The kind and loving Mr. Yus was her grandfather.

Shasha approached her grandfather and hugged him from back, her tears started spilling suddenly.

Grandfather turned around to hug Shasha, the granddaughter he missed. Her face was wet with tears. A feeling of content and happiness enveloped his old empty heart.

Behind the door, Grandma wiped her tears too. Her smile melted some of the ice in her heart. Her granddaughter, Shasha, was able to break down her hatred and anger into sympathy and respect.

In a room somewhere in this same house.  Maya Agustin was restless. She felt like she was under house arrest. Her father had confiscated her cell phone. She was like an amnesiac. Not able to contact anyone.

While Regina was very anxious, her mother hadn't given her any news. And her whereabouts were still unclear. As for her father, she didn't know where he was either, but Regina could tell, her father must be having a good time with his girlfriend. Her father was so unpredictable. If it were not her mother, she didn't know what her fate would lead her to.

This girl deserved pity, Regina never knew that she was only Maya's stepdaughter, but Maya's love for her was very sincere and Maya Agustin spoiled her.

Shasha took a seat at her grandfather's desk. Feeling warm and happy.  "Grandpa ... can I have something?" asked a spoiled Shasha.

Grandpa Isaac smiled, he put his glasses on the table. "Say it!" he said softly.

Shasha moved to stand behind her grandfather.

"Let mom go home, let her make up her mind, it's no use for grandfather to keep her here," Shasha massaged her grandfather's shoulder. Her grandfather leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes.

For the first time in his life, someone was massaging his body. The feeling was a little sad.  Regret was useless. Why didn't he bring Shasha to this house right after he knew her existence?

Mr. Isaac Ibrahim didn't mind losing Maya Agustin. He didn't even have any expectations for her anymore. Shasha's suggestion deserved to be reconsidered. There was no point in forcing Maya Agustin to follow his wishes or worrying about Maya's life with her husband.

She was not a kid anymore. But he will stop funding Maya Agustin. However, Maya must be taught a lesson. Besides, he didn't see any regret on Maya's face.

Grandpa got up from his chair, he took the family album. He felt the need to introduce Shasha to his great grandfather. He also showed the documents of several assets that would become Shasha's legacy. Who else can inherit his wealth other than Shasha? Maya Agustin?  No!  Maya will divert her property for her benefit and her new family. Maya Agustin never seriously thought about her mother and Shasha.

If Maya Agustin didn't want to lose her husband, she could continue to be with her husband, because Maya Agustin was filthy rich already. Her husband and stepdaughter will hurt Shasha.

Mr. Isaac Ibrahim had contacted his attorney, to make his will. Bad things could happen to him at any time. He had to protect Shasha and his wife Mrs. Maimunah.
