The shock was written in Blaire’s face upon hearing Axel’s suggestion.
“Sir,” Blaire spoke. “Please remember that we have other things to do today so please do not think about celebrating my birthday because I don’t have any plans on celebrating it either,” she said.
“Well we’re both going to buy some clothes today and we don’t have anything else to do after so why don’t we buy yourself a gift for your birthday?”
Blaire looked at Axel in disbelief.
‘This guy,’ Blaire muttered. ‘He mustn’t know how to listen to another’s pleas,’ she added.
Blaire sighed.
“I really don’t want to trouble you, Sir, just because it’s my birthday,” she said.
“Oh, you’re not troubling me at all. I also am interested in knowing what you like. Besides, you don’t want your outfit to go to waste by just strolling inside the mall, yes? Let’s also try to eat from this restaurant I’ve been wanting to visit. They say they serve the best Sinigang* in this town.”
