"Do you plead guilty of murder?"

Wrath glared at Pride. He stepped forward only for a demon to thrust a spear in front of him to block his way. Irritated, he sighed through his nose. Wrath scanned the hall, his eyes landing on Peace who held a pleading look in his eyes.

He huffed and smirked to himself, he looked up a cold glint in his eyes. The chains clanged as he raised a hand to run through his hair. He schooled his expression into an emotionless mask.

"I killed a tri-M."

The other six sins, judging over this trial, stilled: Lust gasped, her well manicured hand coming up to cover her mouth, Sloth abruptly stopped snoring and woke up disbelief shining in her dull grey eyes, Greed narrowed his eyes in a fierce glare, Envy seemed lost, their eyes scanning over the others to catch the array of reactions being displayed, Gluttony had a similar reaction to Greed except she seemed more shocked and disappointed and Pride...Pride closed his eyes seeming to need a moment to collect himself.

"Why did you do it?" It was Peace who spoke up, his arms crossed, nails digging into the flesh of his arms, the golden band of swirls inked into the skin of his arms contrasting greatly with his tan complection.

"I am the Giver of Wants," Wrath crossed his arms, the chains jingled, "I was called and the woman wished for the death of her rival who sabotaged her. I complied."

"Couldn't you have done something different?" Peace furrowed his dark brows, obsidian eyes filling with confusion.

"It is my job to give people what they want," Wrath hissed, he looked up at Pride, "I was simply doing my duty."

Pride glanced at Modesty who was glaring at the young demon.

"It is against our laws to kill tri-Ms," Modesty declared, "want or not, you broke a sacred rule!"

Wrath glared at the grey haired Angel with much more ferocity. He turned his narrowed eyes upon Pride who was looking down at the stone table he sat behind.

"You cannot possibly be considering this!" Wrath roared through their mind.

"I'm sorry, but I can't be biased, not even towards my own grandson," Pride connected his eyes with the youngest of the seven.

Peace looked between the two, his mind working to connect the dots and make out the silent conversation. He snapped his head toward the oldest demon, "No. There has to be another way."

Pride glanced at the tall angel with sad eyes before looking back at their prisoner.

"Wrath, you are hereby sentenced to a decade of exile," Pride seemed to grow older as he spoke, "you will be stripped of your powers and title until your exile is up."

Modesty scoffed, "exile is going too easy on him-"

"And I thought you were supposed to be modest," Wrath cut in.

Peace opened his mouth to scold his counterpart only to be cut off by the oldest Angel.

"SILENCE!" The angel yelled, he fixed Wrath with a glare that could make any one cower, anyone except the demon currently subject to said glare, "your soul will be banished to another body for the decade of your exile and you will be forbidden from seeing people of this world for the time being."

"What?" Peace exclaimed, "You can't be serious?!"

"I am," Modesty narrowed his eyes, "take him!"

Wrath growled and tried to fight only to be dragged away by the ten foot demons that protected their realms. He yelled profanities in all the languages he possibly knew as he was pushed out of the room, his eyes glowed ruby red in his rage.

Before the doors slammed shut, Wrath's eyes connected with Peace who squeezed his eyes shut the tears that threatened to fall becoming barricaded by familiar darkness.
