Chapter Thirty Nine

Her hand was enclosed by his strong warm hand. Opening her eyes, she soaked the morning light in her eyes. She smiled and felt his hand's grip around her as it was some safe environment for her. She mostly didn't get him in the room when she woke up. She slipped her hand from his hold. He grasped her slipping fingers and snapped open his eyes, he brought out a gun in his second hand. Her face whitened in dread. He was perplexed when he didn't get anyone around them but the sound of gasp from her parted lips.

" Goo-d morning, " She tried to smile but his gun made it fade.

Closing his eyes again, he threw his head back on the pillow, " Morning.... Did I terrify you? " he asked in his slow voice.

" No, I um, I startled you." She sighed. " Can I go to see them in the hospital? " She asked him apprehensively.
