Chapter 9: FIRST DAY IN ELEMENTALIA

Up the Hill near the Balete tree.....

The Malaya siblings are preparing to go to Elementalia for the first time.

"Are you all ready?" Mina asked.

"Yes, Mama!" They all replied in chorus.

"Did you bring the things that you need?" Mina.

"Yes, Mama! But I think we can't bring all these giant bags!" Sarah said.

"Let Roe handle them." Mina said then she nods at Roe.

"Ok lady Mina... Step aside, everyone!" Roe said then she flew around the bags 3 times.

Then suddenly the bags shrink into tiny sizes.

"Now, you can fit them in just one pouch!" Roe proudly said.

"Wow, Roe! Your powers are so handy! Literally!" Peach said.

Then the triplets put the tiny bag inside Ian's backpack.

"Just why do I have to carry all these things?" Ian complained.

"They are not heavy now, right?" Joy winks at Ian.

"Sorry, Ian." Sarah whispered.

Mina thought Ian how to open the portal to Elementalia. She realized that Ian's power is the Dimensional Gate Manipulation since he was able to release Roe from being trapped inside the Libreta.

"Just chant the spell from the Libreta. Then once you open a portal to Elementalia, the Libreta will bring you to the location of the agimat." Mina explained.

"OK, po Mama. I need to focus and clear my mind, right?" Ian said. Mina just nods, then Ian opened the Libreta where the spell is written.

" KARUNUNGANG MULA SA ELEMENTALIA, MUNDONG PUNO NG BIYAYA. KAMI AY IYONG PAHINTULUTAN, BUKSAN ANG IYONG LAGUSAN!" Ian finished the chant then he touched the trunk of the Balete tree.

A portal appears on the tree trunk and it becomes bigger and bigger.

"You did it, Ian!" Mina said proudly to his son.

They all go inside the portal while saying goodbye to their mother Mina.

"Take care of each other! Beware of the playful engkantos and other creatures! Come back home in one piece OK!?" Mina reminded them.

"YES, PO MAMA!!!" They said at the same time.

At Elementalia.....

They got out of the portal one by one but they tripped on each other and they fell. But they just laughed at it.

*HAHAHA!*

"Wow! Is this Elementalia? So many giant trees!" Peach said excitedly.

"I think we are in the middle of the forest." Sarah said.

"Ahm. Guys, please be quiet..." Roe was trying to get their attention.

"Sarah where are your glasses?" Joy asked Sarah.

"Huh?" Sarah touched her face.

"I must have dropped it when we... ATE YOUR HAIR!" Sarah noticed Joy's hair.

"Your pink hair is back Ate Joy! And my toenails are back too!" Peach said happily.

"The ritual doesn't affect us in here! Then that means..." Sarah added then triplets looked at Ian.

Ian removes his shirt and kneels to the ground.

"MY SHADOW! I HAVE MY OWN SHADOW!!! AHAHA! LOOK IT'S FOLLOWING ME!" Ian is like a child playing with his shadow.

He is running around while looking back at his shadow without his shirt on.

"IAN THAT'S ENOUGH. PUT ON YOUR SHIRT!" Joy said and then they all laugh.

"Guys keep it down please??" Roe seems frightened.

"Why Roe? Why do you look afraid?" Sarah asked Roe which is now hiding inside her hair.

"I - I think we are in the territory of Wak-wak's." Roe said.

"Wak-wak's? The half-human and half-bird creatures who like to eat human's heart?" Joy said.

"WAAAH! SO SCARY!" Peach said in a frightened voice.

Suddenly, they heard weird sounds and saw some shadows from the tree that quickly pass by.

"RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!"

Peach used her superspeed after she grabs Joy and Sarah then Joy grabs Ian and Sarah holds Roe. Then they run as fast as they could.

But the creatures flew so fast and they cornered the Malaya siblings.

"DAKPIN SILA AT DALHIN SA ATING PUGAD!" One of the creatures said.

Then the creatures tied their hands before they fly up and bring Joy and the others to their nest deeper inside the forest.

"Wak-wak's please release us! We are here to look for the elemental talismans and we don't have any intention of harming any of you." Joy pleaded.

"We are not Wak-wak's! We are the Kinnara's! And you will stay here until our leader arrives!" A Kinnara said.

The Kinnara's brought the siblings to the deepest part of the forest where they are nesting! Their homes are built up the trees like giant treehouses and they leave the Malaya siblings inside the highest treehouse they have.

"These vines are preventing us to use our powers." Sarah said.

"What should we do?" Peach asked.

"Calm down! They will not hurt us until their Leader arrives." Joy said.

"Cause they will offer us to their leader and it will eat us alive!" Ian added.

"WAAAH! Don't say that please!" Roe cried.

"SSSHHH! Quiet... Someone's coming!" Joy whispered.

A female Kinnara flew in and put some fruits in front of them.

"Eat." She ordered them.

They are all stunned by the beauty of the female Kinnara. She doesn't have a bird mask unlike the Kinnara's who capture them, but they all have slender bodies and the lower body of a bird with feathered wings.

"T - thank you for the fruits." Joy thanked her.

"But how can we eat if our hands are tied at the back?" Peach said.

The female Kinnara redo their tie using the vines that are hanging from the tree. When she is about to redo Sarah's tie, Peach bumped the female Kinnara.

"Sorry! I'm really hungry!" Peach said to the Kinnara then she winked at Joy who saw what she did.

At Midnight.....

Ian wakes up because Peach was moving a lot beside him.

"Ate Peach what are you doing?" Ian asked.

"TADA!" Peach untied herself using a dagger.

"So cool! Where did you get that?" Ian asked?

"Be quiet Ian! I took it from the female Kinnara! Hehe." Peach explained.

After Peach untied her siblings, they use the vines to go down the treehouse quietly.

*CRAAACK*

"WAAAAAAH!"

Ian accidentally stepped on a branch that suddenly broke, then he lost balance and almost fell. Luckily Sarah used her levitation power in time before Ian hits the ground. Kinnara's heard the noises then they all wake up and saw the siblings escaping!

"Oh No! They caught us escaping!" Roe said.

"We have no choice but to fight!" Joy said.

The Kinnara's surrounded them, but the Malaya siblings bravely face them all and the triplets use their powers to fight back.
