"It's you" She announced softly

"So I did do something?" I asked thinking back, trying to figure out what exactly.

"You're doing everything right" She confessed leaving realization to stand in my mind.

"And that scares you?" I asked but it sounded more like a statement, nonetheless, she still gave me a small nod to confirm my words.

"What's your fear when it comes to us?" I asked softly.

"That you'll hurt me, lie, cheat, change" She replied her voice small and I could tell each word she said held a memory.

"I won't, and I know that's hard for you to believe because of past experiences but I'll prove it, we can move at whatever pace you want to,"

Riptide

I got out of my car walking towards the building my eyes going to the security at the front that I had ordered to be there since the war between the two gangs was still going on. Even though I had slowly pushed them out of my neighborhood, things were unpredictable and could go south any minute and I wanted to be prepared for that. 


I greeted them as I entered the building, my gaze scanned the area for a second before it landed on her, surprise filling me. I walked to the small group of women Nia's eyes meeting me first since Britt's back was turned to me. 


"Jazmine," she called out and I smiled as all the attention went to me, I didn't really expect anyone to be here since I was half an hour early bu- 


"This is Tiana," Renae announced taking away my time to reply and I reached over shaking her hand. 


"Thank you for allowing me to use your space for free, it's beautiful," Tiana said and I smiled before releasing her hand from the handshake.
