"It's you" She announced softly

"So I did do something?" I asked thinking back, trying to figure out what exactly.

"You're doing everything right" She confessed leaving realization to stand in my mind.

"And that scares you?" I asked but it sounded more like a statement, nonetheless, she still gave me a small nod to confirm my words.

"What's your fear when it comes to us?" I asked softly.

"That you'll hurt me, lie, cheat, change" She replied her voice small and I could tell each word she said held a memory.

"I won't, and I know that's hard for you to believe because of past experiences but I'll prove it, we can move at whatever pace you want to,"

I stopped at the light turning down the air slightly as a sigh left me, my right hand then falling to my thigh, my eyes staying on the road ahead as I waited patiently. 


“You good?” Spain asked softly and I glanced over to him for a split second. 


“Yeah I’m good,” I replied and he chuckled. 


“Ready to go home?” he questioned earning a grin from me. 


“I am,” I confessed truthfully driving off slowly taking the left turn knowing I had to pick up Aria from school before we made our next stop. 


“You still stopping by the apartment with me though?” 


“Yeah I am, did you tell Dice to get the food?” I asked him softly knowing Aria would be hungry. 


“Yeah,” he replied as my phone began ringing the sound coming from the speakers of the car since the device was connected to the vehicle via Bluetooth. 


I glanced at the caller ID before answering the call allowing it to connect. 


“Baby what’s up?” I asked softly as I pulled into the school.
