As soon as the thunder was heard, Nina and the others ran across the bridge. Nina taught a quick lesson to Aily on how to use Wind Magic as a shield during the rain, much like an impenetrable umbrella. Meanwhile, Pio held hands with Nina so that she may get in her Wind Shield as well.
And exactly as the young explorer told them, all lightning struck only at Marco.
Marco was deviating the thunder to only hit him. He did not suffer any damage at all. In fact, he was having fun by allowing the overflow of magic course through his body. To make sure he did not overrun himself by overwhelming Mana energy, he occasionally cast Lightning to the sky.
That extraordinary idea of his made Aily scared.
“Isn’t that going to attract a LOT of attention...?” she said.
“Now that you say it, I fear that might be true,” Nina agreed. “Let’s just hope no guards think the lightning flashes peculiar. Just in case, let us proceed with caution!”
