Honestly, I was finding myself getting annoyed at Domini. He was keeping a lot from me, at first, I had agreed that it was simply due to pack business. But now? Now I really knew something was up. I glanced at Ellen, her face staring off into the distance deep in her own thoughts. I felt a piece of me scrutinize her thinking about all the times she was so… so off around Domini. Did she know more than me?
“Laura?” Micheal called his tone strange again, I looked at him as he sat on the small lounge in the shared living room.
His face was calm but his eyes were piercing, I bit my lip nervously as Ellen sighed before walking into Domini’s and my kitchen. Micheal followed her with his eyes before they re-connected with mine and he spoke in a hushed tone.
“Laura, just… back there. I saw you.” He almost spat, I felt confused at his anger.
“You weren’t hunting… not like they think.” He shook his head before glaring at me. “What are you?”
