“I come in peace!” the man shouted at the entrance of a large cave that matched the floors within the winding abyss.
Silence.
For he stood still before the entrance all alone as none of his soldiers was present with him in the vicinity.
“Hello?!!” he shouted again.
But only silence greeted his call.
He shook his head with a sigh; pinning his spear into the ground, he leaned his body against the rocks embedded near the entrance.
He closed his eyes.
And thus, he waited.
And waited.
Until.
His nose twitched, and he broke into a frown; the smell of burnt meat drifted out from the cave. Then his ears twitched as he heard shouting and yelling echoing along the cave walls. Finally, black smoke flushed out through the entrance, turning the entire area into a sea of haze in front of him.
Swoosh! Three vague figures rushed out.
The two of them coughed as they threw curses and pulled on each other’s hairs. The third one looked at them and clapped her hands in a cheer.
