“Submit before my Master!” Shyreiana commanded.
Ranulf stayed silent and unmoving.
She frowned, lifted his head and smashed him against the fleshy ground once again.
Bam! His head was shoved inside, but he still did not resist.
“Hmm?” she rolled him over and moved close to his face.
Boom! A concentrated stream of aether burst out of his body and pushed her away.
Ranulf rolled to the side and threw a black gem at her chest. The object arched through the air as the starlight looming across the hall glinted off its shiny surface. Red mist swirled inside at the centre. It spread across and enveloped the entirety of the object at every passing beat, resembling the unending streams of the river cascading down a weeping valley.
Shyreiana smirked, stretched out her hand and snatched the object within her palm.
“Is this the present you were trying to use to woo me? Hehehe,” she giggled and moved it closer. “A necklace or?”
