“I am so sorry for this!” Kirsa’s voice followed on from behind Cenric as he walked out of the camp. “This is all too sudden for me!”
“There is nothing for you to feel sorry about,” Cenric leaned beside a lone tree and closed his own two eyes in a bout of untold contemplation. “I need to think…about some things.”
“I...I…am...” she stumbled on her words, but she eventually closed her mouth in reluctance.
Gilbert looked between the two and said with a chuckle, “Good! Good! That nuisance finally got what he deserved!”
He went next to Kirsa and said in a soothing tone, “Don’t bother with him anymore, you have me instead.”
“I also need...some time alone,” Kirsa lowered her head and walked on opposite ends; she then nestled down at a corner with her face buried in her knees.
“Cenric! Look at what you did! You made her feel uncomfortable,” Gilbert sneered.
