A JOURNEY FOR LIGHT

The journey was long and unbearably silent. No one dared to say a word, especially the adults in the vehicle. How could they utter a single word? Especially with the razor sharp needles dangerously brushing the skin of their necks, threatening to peirce at any moment.

Jack, James, and Mirai opted to ignore the situation of the adult and peer through the window. Peer at the world outside the domes, peer at the world away from their underground refuge, peer at what the world really was.It was devastating.

The sky was a hellish hue of red. Clouds of ashy black floated across the sky dauntingly, like dark heralds of death. The ground was razed of all natural glamour. No grass. No flowers. No trees. Only dead soil carrying mounds and mountains of trash. Instead of real-life beauty, outside the beautiful holographic nature they had grown to know, the children saw the world in its most hedious form.
