"No, I don't remember you. Sorry."

Oh, I see," says Candace." Well, Mindy took the zombie to a warehouse and we locked him in there.

Mindy stares at you, thin lips pressed together and arms crossed, like a teacher who has just scolded her class.

"Well Tom asked us to show you so maybe we should get to that."

Candace and Mindy show you the rest of the Cathedral in the next hour. Candace explains how this cathedral was purchased to be used as a tourist attraction and "haunted house" attraction. They were renovating when the zombie outbreak began and determined that it was a suitable place for their friends and family to live until the virus was cured. This suburban area is far from the region's main cities, and the stone structure and position at the foot of the forest make it a hidden and defensible place.

To the west of the main church, which they call the Sanctuary, is the Gathering - a central area for dining, cooking and gathering as a group. North of Reunion are four offices, two of which are warehouses, one is Tom's private quarters, the other is Uncle Lou's. To the west of the Encounter is an alcove that leads outside, and to the south of it are more storerooms and a lounge. Southwest of the Meeting is a small chapel, which is currently unchanged. To the south of the Meeting there is a small open-air courtyard surrounded on all sides by high stone walls. Candace describes this as an area for outdoor entertainment and parties, which momentarily breaks the gloomy mood. The second floor has several meeting rooms and offices, which have not yet been changed, and finally a set of private rooms to the north and west. Candace and her boyfriend Carl share a room, as do Dave and Javier. Mindy and Jason have single rooms, and three other rooms are unoccupied.

As you descend the stairs, Tom and Javier are yelling from down in Reunion. Dave is seated at the head table, loading bullets in a curved magazine.

"We have to go now. He won't last long," says Javier and slaps his hand on the table.

"Let's plan a strategy before we run away," Tom replies. He's standing by the door to the courtyard, folding his arm in the archway.

"I'll go now then," says Javier.

"What is happening?" Mindy asks when her group enters.

Uncle Lou is leaning against a large stove in the corner of the room wearing a Beware the Cook apron, thick arms crossed over his broad chest. Jason rushes in and stands beside Javier.

Tom leans over the table, both hands pressed to the wooden surface, his fingertips turning white.

"Carl left a few hours ago to get supplies from that farmhouse down the road. Jason tried to reach him on his walkie-talkie, but there was no response. more time to find out can have dire consequences. Plus, it's four o'clock, so we're going to run out of daylight in about three hours."
