Things are not good. The news is talking of an epidemic spreading through the nation. When I first saw the color graphical maps of the virus's spread, I thought it was a wildfire burning through the Western US. We are being told to stay indoors, conserve food and water, and not to let anyone in to our homes. This is terrifying.


To think that Nick and Tommy are in the woods makes me sick to my stomach. I have tried calling Nick, but his mobile phone is not working. I haven't been able to reach anyone by phone. I know Nick can survive out there but for how long? What if they come across one of the infected?


Schools are all closed but for some reason, daycare is still open. Of course, I'm keeping Anthony with me. I may go next door to the Hendersons. I really don't want to be alone right now.
