The group grabs weapons and climbs the catwalk to take spots viewing the strangers to the northeast. Emma and Candace stay in the foyer with shotguns to guard the entrance. Heather and Uncle Lou aim rifles down at the strangers. You reach for a weapon on the table.

The survivors are all in position to attack. The sun is high overhead, so the entire area north is bathed in light. A swift breeze blows through the windows and cracks in the wall, whistling as it passes. A flock of birds flutter by and land around the grounds, high on the Cathedral towers or spread among the many trees, as if they came to watch an epic showdown.

At the edge of the forest, on the main road leading in and out of the Cathedral, the four strangers have gathered. They point to various spots on the Cathedral grounds, gesturing to the back rows of windows and to the parking lot, motioning toward the front walkway and high towers, and indicating other less-conspicuous plans or ideas to one another. The four are all armed with automatic weapons, and one holds up a small black device, possibly a walkie-talkie, though at this distance, it is difficult to view the details of the item.

Once all of the survivors are in place, Mindy raises her hand and tells everyone to pick a target. You aim at the closest stranger, the supposed leader of the four. From this distance, it will be difficult to hit but attacking first sends a clear message.

Mindy drops her hand, and a chorus of gunfire rings out. The ground in front of the strangers erupts, dirt and dust flying around in a cloud. Shots are returned, and one even hits close to the window where you are positioned. Ducking down, you watch as the four strangers fire over the hill as they retreat into the forest.

The Cathedral's defenses stand firm against the attack, and not a single survivor is injured.
