Command opens into a wide but narrow room with a wall-to-wall screen much like the one found on the entrance kiosk. Four cubicles sit in a row below it, each with a black keyboard and mouse and several, small monitors on articulating arms. Entering the room, the black screen flashes on, displaying a string of numbers and symbols:

--- ^up set communicate

--- log on; temp dis

--- &// awaken[]';

--- ?

You sit at a computer terminal and glide the mouse, click the screen and try numerous commands that come to mind. The same result reoccurs: --- error in syntax

--- refer to manual

--- ?

Dozens of commands turn to a hundred, leading to the same three lines. This might take a while.
