(Once I thought about I thought I might rewrite this without the Underworld aspect as I found it annoying. Don't expect much as I still am a mature author.)
Once Jack awoke he found that he was being smothered by 5 huge wolves. They smelled like you would expect as they had never had a bath in their lives. As much as he liked them they did smell terrible.
"All of you get off me."
Once the wolved heard their master's voice they got off him and sat at the foot of the bed expecting some order, but now Jack was at an impasse of what to do. There were many preparations he had to do for the future and one was to start a business.
Of course with Yao out of Comison, there were still possible threats and if this was Earth-616 the Avengers might time travel to him if that was possible. Of course, maybe that was impossible as he was here first, but one could never be too careful in Marvel.
'Oh well I am in New York and I should make my Gun company which I will branch out and steel Carnegie and Rockefeller's business
"Alright, boys and girls listen close when we are outside the humans are not food. No attaching them unless I say so."
The wolves nodded as they understood. The humans should be saved until their money was dry then they could eat them. Jack knew from their drool they still wanted to eat humans, but too bad.
His outfit appeared, but he focused and made the skull disappear from the chest and replaced it with a wolf. When he looked at it he nodded as he thought it looked better and less like a rip-off of Punisher.
He opened the door followed by his wolves until he got to the lobby. Peaple all looked at him with a bit of fear as those wolves were nearly as tall as a short human. They decided to stay away as the wolves seemed to be sticking close to Jack as he walked out of the hotel.
He knew that if he wanted a business he needed land, workers, and workers. Luckily he was in the North where the industry was quickly advancing. He saw how well his guns were taken in Texas and he knew when he returned for his oil fields his patent would make him plenty of money.
Sadly that money was not going to be useful to him until Texas joined the United States. As he walked around the city exploring where he could set up shop. Sadly it seemed that people complained about their safety that a couple of Police officers began to follow him around.
Jack ignored them as long as his pets were behaving and they were not marking their territory everywhere. Until Willaim saw a factory that had a name that rang a bell to him.
Remington Arms Company. He heard about it from the brother of one of his friends who was into history and stuff. It was considered one of the oldest gun manufacturing companies from this time period and a good opportunity to make a patent on his gun.
Even if his money in Texas was in the millions it was not useful at all except in Texas. This is why he spent most of it on purchasing as many oil fields as he could. The leftover was left in many banks.
As he was about to enter the Factory to see if he could offer his gun as a product when one of the cops finally walked in front of him.
"You need to come with us. You're under arrest."
Jack squinted his eyes as these guys seemed to want something from him.
"For?"
"Well, you got them beasts following you around. It has caused some complaints."
The wolves got in front of Jack and growled at the cop defending him from him. The cop pulled his baton while the others all stood in front of Jack to help their fellow cop. He nearly whistled and the wolves all backed off, but still were ready to attack.
"Now you see that will be inconvenient and no one wants to see me annoyed. Do we."
Before they could get pissed them all of them froze in their tracks as they notices Jack's eyes glowing bright red. Their minds froze and their faces became devoid of emotion.
"Yes sir, have a nice they."
They all walked off and would have no knowledge of anything that occurred in the last hour. He shook his head in annoyance.
"You 5 guard the entrance, no one leaves or enters."
The wolves nodded and Jack used his control over the wind to form a cold fog around the whole factory. It got freezing at 10 degrees Fahrenheit. At factory was always hot, but now all of the workers felt cold scared. The wonder who was in that day at Jack's luck also felt the cold.
He could see his breath which was odd as it was only early fall and the factory should be scorching hot. The workers all froze and as they heard the loud steps of someone walking while they felt like they were chickens locked with a wolf.
They all looked where the sound of Jack's footsteps and when he came out of the fog he caused he looked at the sharp-dressed Mr. Remington.
"Hellow Mr. Remington. I would like to make a deal with you. Of course, refusal will end with you a frozen corpse if you get my meaning. However agreeing will end of benefiting you in the long run, you get to live and become wealthier."
Remington froze as sweat fell from his forehead. Even the cold could not stop the feeling of death that Jack gave off.
"Please, there is no need. I will hear you out. "
"Good, let's deal shall we."
Jack snapped his fingers and the temperature returned to normal while the fog became even thicker. Jack walked up the stairs while the workers all stayed frozen. One of them slowly walked back toward the exit as he was far too terrified.
Sadly for him, Jack was not ready for people to leave. He raised his fist and a black mist left his arm rushing at the unfortunate worker. The fog became solid and impaled him raising him high for everyone to see.
"Anyone else."
The workers shook their heads while Remington was shaking in his boots. The sound of Willaim's boots hitting the stairs sounded like the sound of Death approaching. How would he thin if he knew that Death really was following Jack around?
Did not help that a Raven was on Jack's shoulder like a Parrot. When Jack stood in front of him Jack wrapped his arm around the man's neck.
"Now you see your company will be very useful to me for my future needs. However, simply taking it from you will cause more questions than I need right now. You keep your company and profits and I use your status."
"I agree, please, don't kill anyone else."
"Don't worry no one needs to die if you all obey me. First, let's go to your office."
Eliphalet nodded and they entered the office while jack sat pulled out one of his guns and the plans.
"You see I built this in Texas, and as much as the money was high I need American dollars. You will produce this and I take 82% of the profits. You get the keep the rest and as long as my interest is not hurt you obey me. There might even be a chance at immortality if you agree in your future."
Eliphalet decided to calm down. Being terrified and unable to work would just give Jack a reason to kill him. He grabbed the gun and the plans looking over them. Seeing how the gun worked and could fire many musket rounds in a minute intrigued him.
Jack explained how he did it and what he did to make them. Seeing the work would most definitely bring a profit. However, the Paton made him look at Jack.
"I want you to take credit. The reason is I want to lay low and too much attention now will not help me. I want you to be in charge of this little venture of mine and I do have to say if I feel your service is no longer useful let's say Death herself will be seeing you."
"CAW."
Dante the Raven agreed. Even the black mist that was turning into razor-sharp blades all pointing at his vitals.
"There is no need for that I agree."
"Good, your sons must be proud of you. Shame if they did not live up to his father right?"
Hearing about his children the man nodded.
"Please, leave them out of this."
"I would, however sometimes it takes a bit of pain and loss to tame someone. Do not make me get rid of them. Are we clear?"
"Yes sir."
"Good, now to address the workers."
Jack stood up and motioned with his hand to be followed. The and Eliphalet all looked down at the workers who were looking in horror at the dead worker.
"Good morning you hard-working people. Sorry for the shock, I do not like being disobeyed. You, in the overalls It be a shame if your son and daughter ended up like him. Their mother too."
"WHAT!?"
"Oh, they are quite young, only 5 and 7. You next to him."
The one who got pointed at swallowed in fear.
"Your sister is quite the looker I dare say. Shame she is carrying your child right now."
Everyone looked at the guy with both shock and disgust. However for now they all wondered how Jack knew this. It was simple he just matched the worker's scent to people who smelled like them.
He continued pointing at every single worker talking about their families and loved ones. Until they all were more than ready to do anything to keep themselves and their families safe.
"Now, now. This is just a small warning, but from now you all work for me and Eliphalet. If I find out any of you disobey it won't be just you who is taken care of, everyone who shares even a drop of your blood will follow. Capeesh."
Jack's red glowing eyes, the mist, the smile all made them agree without exception.
"Now don't think that I am cruel. In exchange, your pay will go from 25 cents to 50 cents and you only need to work 8 hours a day. You will be free weekends, but that also means leaving means death. Clear."
(1.00 in 1835 to 2021 is 31.43$ do they would be making 15$ a day. Minimum wage.)
They all thought about it, and that would let them relax more, but at the same time, they would never be able to leave.
"5, 4, 3, 2-"
"WE AGREE!"
Jack grinned.
"Remington, the name of the gun is the Conner's Repeating Musket. You will be in charge of the finances. Let's be ready for a long and successful partnership."
Jack extended his hand which looked like a deal with the devil, but Remington shook it anyway. Jack dispelled the mist and he looked at the workers.
"Get to work, there will be changes going in in this future. Either you join or you will be left in time as a skeleton."
Jack walked out and left the terrified workers and saw his pets still sitting at the entrance. Seems no one approached here which was good. The wolves wagged their tails while Jack left the factory.
He decided to lay low for real while training his power until he was stronger enough to invade Kamar-Taj for the secret magic knowledge. Jack's plans started to turn and would soon turn into a storm that would not be stoped.
