Ambush

William was now in the passenger seat of the Sd. Kfz 251, beside him was Anna who was checking the maps. She put down her helmet since it was being a nuisance in her part to check on where they were going.

"Hey Klaus! How many communist would there be in the eastern front?" Peter asked.

"I don't know Peter, why are you asking me such questions?" Klaus who was really scared to join in the front.

"Oh c'mon! It just to light some mood up! On how we would shoot those Communist bastard! I mean they look kind of retarded and too ugly to see!" Peter answer with such provocative statement.

"I kindly refrain you from underestimating an enemy, because a single shot to our head we would be dead." Anna said while looking at Peter who then went quiet.

"That's what you get from being talkative!" Ingrid remarks at Peter which Peter got pissed off at Ingrid.

"What did you say bitch?" Peter almost stand up in anger, but Anna was glaring both of them.

"I'm sorry Frauen Gruppenführer." Both of them stand down, while William in the other hand was looking at the map of Anna, which Anna notice and shared it too him.

"So what do you think William?"

"I would say, I have some bad feeling about this." He answered truthfully.

"Why?" She question it.

"Because of those Russians, they are very persistent even if we shoot them one time, 5 more will come toward us and it would slowly overrun our defensive line."

"Hm... that's possible since the Russians are a very persistent enemy to bring down. It's already been 10 months since we declared war on them and they are still able to keep up with us." Anna who then looked in the map, and saw Belarus.

"Say, the front we would be backing up would be near the Minsk right?" He asked.

"Yes it would be near minsk."

Ingrid then goes closer to Manfred. "Hey Manfred, does our Gruppenführer and Vice squad leader?" Ingrid ask, while Manfred looks terrified when she ask that.

(AN: Using the German term for vice squad leader is so long bruh, I can't memorize that.)

"Why are you asking me? I don't know this is our Gruppenführer we are talking about. She is scary you know?" Manfred stated.

"I have seen them interact with each other, I think they are pretty close what do you think?" She whispered towards Manfred.

"S-sure... they are close at each other." Manfred stuttered.

Ingrid then nudge him to speak properly with confidence. "I don't want to." Manfred said, while Ingrid looks at him with disappointment as he wasn't talkative.

Somewhere in the near woods of the forest, you could see a giant green leaves stacking up to each other. It wasn't just a normal bush it was a camouflage.

Inside that bush was a KV-1 a heavy tank that is purpose to survive and block the incoming shells.

"Those NaZi's won't know what will hit them from here!" Said by one of the crews of the KV-1.

"Wait something is coming! Everyone back inside the tank!" Said by the commander of the KV-1.

Everyone then rushes back inside the tank, who then they saw a whole convoy of reinforcement that is heading towards Minks.

"Shit it's a fucking convoy, what should we do commander?" Said by the Russian loader.

"How many are they?" The commander ask, then the gunner who was outside with a binoculars.

"Sir they have 10 trucks, 4 jeeps, 3 armored trucks and a 13 tanks... they are mostly Panzer 4 sir!" The gunner was name Alex, he was only 21 years old and was assigned in this crew.

"13 tanks? Are all of them Panzer 4? what kind of gun is it carrying? are they long or short?" The commander ask.

"Most of them are short sir! I only see 2 long ones mounted on them." Alex said.

"Good! We would hold them off here Alex get to the gunner position, we would be taking out those long barrels first as they are a threat to us, then we will finish the remaining tanks, we are already deep inside there territory and we have no way of returning home from this place. Are you guys ready to make a final stand?" The commander said, while everyone nodded to each other.

"Yes Commander!" Everyone said those words, as they were prepared to fall down.

Alex then sits on the gunner position, as he took out his wallet and he saw a picture of himself and a girl.

"Don't worry Polina, I will be returning from this war... just wait for me and i will survive this hell of a war." Alex said while caressing the photo and put it back in his pockets.

As the convoy keep continuing on the road, you could see Alex then looked at his sight to aim at the convoy. "Alex, shoot the Panzer 4 with the longer barrels one, remember make the shot count boy." The commander said, as Alex took a long deep breath.

"Alex, just give it some countdown if you fire now we all now be in this together." The commander tries to comfort him.

"Yeah! Alex take the shot! and we would go down in history as one of the single tank man who was able to stop a whole convoy!" Said by the loader.

"Then wish me luck..." Alex said, while he carefully aim at the Panzer 4 with the longer barrel one.

"For Mother Russia." He said, as he fired the trigger a thunderous explosion fired in the barrel of the KV-1

As the shell flew towards the field and finally straight towards the Panzer 4 side armor that caught in a blaze of fire.
