Lied woke up and sat up on the bed, rubbing his face. His head was bandages, and so were his arms and right leg.
To the bed next of him, Desmond laid there, completely immobile.
Lied got off the bed, feeling much better. The monster attack had caught them by surprise, and the city was on high alert.
With the wall being broken, it was difficult to tell if it was safe.
Besides that, Lied was unable to get the Monster's face out of his head. The twisted face as it smiled.
The young adventurer shivered when he thought back on it.
He had thought that humanity had caught up with the power of those monsters, but in the end, it was obvious that they were nowhere close.
Lied left the room.
He walked into a living room of a cozy house. At the dining table, there was a man who was reading the newspaper.
The man noticed Lied.
"You shouldn't be out of bed," The man told Lied, getting up.
