S1-114: Edge of Ether

Four years.

It had taken them four years to sail across the sea and finally reach their destination. When they arrived at the shore, it broke when Letha stepped out of the boat.

In the four years, it had taken them to travel by boat, Slyk had grown considerably. It had gone from an infant to a youngster. Slyk was the size of a dog.

"Have you grown again?" Letha asked Slyk when they started walking.

Slyk wondered how it had taken Letha so long to figure out that it had grown. Slyk simply nodded as it walked with Letha. Letha swung her arms as she walked. Slyk could hear sounds and voices coming from the forest but saw nothing around them.

The forest was rather dark, especially since the trees grew high, blocking out the sun. Despite the darkness, Slyk found no problem seeing. It saw occasional Nymphs and Dryads chatting with each other.

"The human place is called 'Ether'," Letha informed Slyk. "I dunno why it's called that."
