The elves gathered around Letha and got onto their knees to clasp their hands together. A few of them carried spears which they pointed at Lied who was near the door of the cage. He backed away warily, not wanting to be on the wrong end of the spear.
The door was forced open. A couple of elves moved in and grabbed onto Lied aggressively. One snatched the red stone out of his hands. They held onto his arms and shoved him forward and out of the cage. Another elf had gone to Patricia and was dragging her out. Letha waved at Lied.
"A little help?" Lied requested.
"They seem nice," Letha commented.
She was walking along with them to the centre of the village where the ground was charred black. The elves were already throwing in wood and leaves into a big pile. Lied saw as a few other elves exited a house carrying the corpse of a deer and a six-limbed creature Lied had seen not too long ago.
