An Enemy Revealed

As Vance looked around the hidden room, he was impressed by the amount of planning his enemy had put into their base.

"Really though, a hidden room inside a hidden base? It's a pretty cool idea."

As he thought aloud, he walked around, searching for the information that he wanted.

"Really need to make some skills for this stuff, but I guess the feeling of looking for intel on my own is cool. Hmm, there's a map of all the hidden base locations, one with the marching path of the army they used, oh? What's this? A letter?"

He opened the letter and read it.

"Use the army I've sent you, and send them to attack Fallen Star City. Make sure the attack can't be traced back to us. As they struggle to resist, they will either do everything in their power to request assistance from us, or they will be conquered thus making the next phase of the plan worthless. Do not fail me."

After reading it Vance put down the letter and continued looking around. However, his mood seemed to become much darker.

"Fucking bastards. The amount of innocents that could've died for this dumbass plan. Calm down Vance, war isn't a game, no matter who strikes first, people will die. You've killed plenty yourself, so stop acting like a hero."

As he spoke to himself, he began to calm down, and realized that he was mainly mad because the first city he came to in this world was Falling Star City.

"Whatever, I'll just deal with the people who come after the ones I'm close too. Might as well make my own empire. Maybe I'll be an assassin. Focus Vance, focus."

He continued his search for information. After a short time later, he had looked at everything in the room and couldn't find any more information.

"Fuck. Maybe I should take out everyone here and read their memories. First though, let's put all of this in my inventory."

While saying this, Vance walked around the room, grabbing all clues and putting it into his inventory. However, as he took down one of the maps, a small sheet of folded paper fell from behind it.

"Am I really that bad at searching a room? That's... really upsetting."

He grabbed the paper and unfolded it.

"One of the generals of the Rising Dragon Kingdom has been staying at the base to make sure we hold up our end of the deal, but there seems to be a problem. Somebody has been wiping out our other bases, and seems to be getting closer and closer to the main one. Upon reading this note, burn it and inform the general, and then move our brethren to the Rising Dragon Kingdom and reestablish our bases."

"Oh? Rising Dragon Kingdom eh? How interesting. Looks like I got the name of my real enemy. Well then, seems like all that's left to do, is wipe out this base and head back."

Saying this, Vance quickly began to move towards destroying this base.
