"Master, your food is ready."
"Oh, thanks Celine."
Saying so, Vance walked into the dining room where Celine had placed his food.
"So Celine, I was debating between creating a bloodline to absorb, and just teleporting to something strong and taking some of it's blood. Which one do you think would work better."
"Master, if you create a bloodline all of the abilities you get are ones you came up with, but you might miss out on some special abilities that a real bloodline would have. So I recommend for the most part, acquiring actual blood from creatures."
"Interesting. Then I guess I'm going out to fight some strong creatures. This should be fun. You want to come Celine?"
"No Master. I'll stay here and do some training as well. I'll also take care of little Ava while you're gone."
"You're a sweetheart Celine, do you know that?"
Hearing this, Celine blushed, which led to Vance petting her head. Vance then left the house and walked towards the edge of the base. Once he got there, he thought about a good first bloodline to absorb. Going through his knowledge of fantasy and the world he was currently in, he thought of one type of creature that was always revered as one of the most powerful: Dragons.
"Hmm. Dragons eh? That should be a pretty good bloodline. Should be worth it. Man, I cannot wait to see how strong I get in a year. It's only been like five or six days. Should probably keep better track of that."
While talking to himself, Vance was busy trying to magically locate different dragons in the world. He made sure to do a check on their overall strength. Soon he located the strongest out of all the dragons he had found. As soon as he had it's exact location, he began opening a portal to it. He then walked through the portal. On the other side Vance saw a mountainous region and a large lake with a river flowing into it. Besides the scenery, Vance also saw his target. A large multicolored dragon lying lazily by the lake.
"Eh? I've heard of a lot of different dragons in stories. But a multicolored one is pretty new. At least I think so? So what are you, an elemental dragon. Something like that? Lotta confusion going on over here."
Saying this, Vance walked towards the dragon in order to appraise it. But as he got closer, the dragon began to rise menacingly.
