The Portal Room

On the other side of the portal, Vance walked out. The location was where Vance had beaten the army.

"If anywhere was close to the transport, it would be here."

He looked around. He noticed that there was a few tracks leading up to there. He followed them towards a hill. The tracks seemed to cut off near there.

"How strange. Maybe there are remnants of whatever they used around here."

Vance began to deploy a special detection magic in order to see whether there were traces. He felt something leading him towards the inside of the hill. Feeling this, he began to open the hill using Earth Magic. He noticed that the ground felt tampered with, as if it was not in it's natural state.

"That's weird. Although, it makes sense that it's tampered with if this is where they were coming from. Might as well check it out."

Vance finished opening the hell, revealing a small tunnel that lead to a large room. Around the room were various symbols that appeared to be used for some sort of ritual or spell. Vance however, having the skill of the Magic God, could tell that these apparent 'runes' were used to open a large scale portal for a long enough time for many people to come through.

"Guess I found where they teleported from. Now should I disable it, or flip it so that we can use it to invade them? Probably disable it. We don't know what it looks like on the other side after all."

Saying this, Vance began to work at his current goal of disabling the portal room. However, while doing so, he noticed that it started to glow a little bit. Seeing this, Vance decided to warn the others through Celine. He quickly sent out a small message via their soul connection and said that he would be getting ready to fight whatever came through. Celine, who was still in the throne room with the others, quickly relayed the message to John and Lucy. Vance, the man who sent the message, was still preparing to fight whatever came through the portal. As he prepared, the room's symbols and runes began to glow brighter. They began flickering and emitting a blinding light that even Vance had to look away from. Vance was ready for a fight by this point and had a sword in his hand and was in his nothingness combat stance.
