Stepping quickly to the the attacker on the right, Vance kicked him in the chest, knocking him backwards into a wall before they slumped onto the floor. Immediately after he punched the middle one in the chin, knocking them into the air before they hit the ground unconscious.
The last attacker, seeing this, stepped back cautiously.
"Who are you?"
The voice was garbled, as if it was actively being modified.
"Who am I? I'm simply a concerned citizen here to prevent a crime. Now the real question is, who are you?"
Obviously looking for an exit, the black clothed individual threw down a small pouch. Upon hitting the ground, a cloud of smoke was released.
"Oh? Smoke bombs?" Vance said immediately blowing the smoke away with wind magic.
As the cloud was blown away, Vance saw that the person was almost out of the alley.
Making a shadow trip them, he chuckled.
"Honestly it was a good try. If you want I can give you a redo?" He said walking over before kicking them in the stomach hard enough to knock him unconscious.
Grabbing their head and pulling them to the other two assailants, Vance looked at the injured man and healed him.
"Yo."
"W-w-who are you? What do you want?"
"Huh? My name is Vance. As for what I want? Right now it's to help you and figure out what's going on."
Vance looked at the little boy the man was protecting.
The boy stared back with eyes full of admiration.
"Woah! THAT WAS SO COOL! You beat them up like BOOM BAM and you used magic!"
Vance chuckled and held his hand out with his palm facing up.
"Yeah, I'm somewhat of a Magic God myself."
His palm ignited a flame which then froze and melted to water that he sent flying into a wall.
Vance could see that the little boy's eyes were practically in the shape of stars.
"Well then." Vance clapped his hands. "I'm gonna take these three along. Feel free to follow or go on your own way. Doesn't really matter to me."
He snapped his fingers and the three attackers floated towards him before falling to the ground and merging into his shadow.
Stretching, Vance began to leave, although he could sense the little boy begging the man to follow him. The man quickly agreed and walked out of the alley and followed behind Vance with the little boy.
Walking back to the inn, the man and little boy soon caught up with Vance. Being a little kid, the boy bombarded Vance with questions.
"How did you get so strong?"
"Uhhhh... hard work and some other stuff."
"What magic can you use?"
"I can use any magic."
"Where did you learn how to fight?"
"Taught myself and I'm still learning."
"Have you fought anything cool?"
"I fought a dragon. I'm friends with her now though."
"REALLY?!?!"
"Huh? Yeah."
"THAT'S SO COOOOOL!!!!"
By the time they got to the inn, the little boy was bouncing with excitement.
"Can I meet the dragon?"
"Maybe? I'll see how she feels."
While on the outside Vance was just answering the boys questions, he was actually contacting, Celine, Alice, and Ryoko telling them that he might have found something interesting and that when they were done to come and meet up with him

"I'll be there soon Master." Celine said.
"Why must you people be so greedy? Greed causes death you know?"
"Just hand over your coin miss, we don't wanna hurt you."
Celine was in an alley, surrounded by a group of thieves, men and women.
"I'll give you all one more chance. Take it, or I won't be so merciful."
"What are we talking so much for, just take it off her."
*sigh*
"I suppose you've made your choices." Celine said as she disappeared from where she was standing.
"Huh?" "Where did she go?"
The crowd sounded out in confusion before Celine appeared over one of their heads with a scythe held in the air.
"I gave you a chance to survive. You didn't take it. Tell your regrets in the afterlife."
With that, she swung the scythe down, splitting the man she was above in two.
As blood splashed on the rest of the small group of, now, six, a look of fear gradually came over their eyes.
And thus, Celine's bloodbath began.
After two minutes, all that was left in the alleyway was ash. As she walked out, Celine quickly used a spell to clean the blood off of herself.
"Master, I am on my way to the inn."

"Okay Mr. Vance, just have a small problem to deal with."
Alice looked around and saw that she was surrounded.
"A-are you sure you want to do this?" She stammered.
The four vicious looking men smirked at her.
"You'll make for good slave money. Beast humans always do."
"Of course we'll have to do quality assurance on the goods first."
They laughed.
Hearing this, the timid look on Alice's face fell away, leaving behind a cold stare.
"Forget what I said, you don't get a choice. People like you just need to disappear."
Dashing at the closest of the four, Alice threw out one of her daggers, simultaneously jumping into the air.
The dagger stuck into his throat. As his body began falling backwards, Alice lightly landed on the hilt of the dagger and jumped once more, throwing out three more daggers.
Hitting all three of the men in their eye, groin, and forehead respectively, two of them died instantly, while the one who had said they needed to do quality assurance was left bleeding from his groin.
After landing on the ground, Alice walked up to him as he backed away in fear.
She stepped on the hilt, driving it further in
"AAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He screamed in utter agony.
"I refuse to dirty my clothes with your blood. So die slowly, and cleanly."
Using wind magic to create a sphere devoid of oxygen, the man slowly suffocated and died.
Making her daggers fly from the men, and using wind to clean the blood off of them, she walked out of the alley.
"I'm on my way Mr. Vance."

"Got it, be there soon." Ryoko said.
"What do you mean this area has a toll? Looks like free space to me."
A woman with three large men behind her tried to 'convince' Ryoko that she had to pay to walk by them in a more abandoned part of the city.
"Well maybe it was free space when you walked in, but now you have to pay up. Or get hurt."
"Is that a threat?"
"Maybe it is." The woman grinned.
The three large men stepped up to intimidate Ryoko. This plan, however, failed.
"Guess I'll just force my way through then."
With that, Ryoko ran up and punched one of the men in the chest.
Receiving the blow of a dragon in human form, the man flew off blasting through a wall and being buried in rubble.
"Wh-what?!?!"
"One down, three to go." Ryoko said as she sprinted towards the next target.
Three minutes later, Ryoko walked out of the alley while wiping dust off of her clothing. Behind her were piles of collapsed rubble and a woman knocked unconscious in a crater in the ground.

At the inn, Vance laid on the bed while a man and little boy stood in the corner wondering what he was waiting for.
After ten minutes, the door opened.
In came, Celine, Alice, and Ryoko.
"Welcome back ladies. I found something interesting." Vance said aas they all glanced at the man and child.
"Did you girls encounter any trouble at all?"
Celine squinted her eyes. "Just some trash trying to rob me."
"N-not too much trouble, I managed to solve it pretty easily." Alice stammered.
"Are there tolls in the city?" Ryoko asked with her head tilted.
Hearing Ryoko's question, everyone looked at her.
"No. No I don't think there are." Vance said.
"Oh..."
"Well then, moving on. I found three people who seemed to be trying to kidnap the kid here."
"Where are they Mr. Vance?"
"I got them right here. Let me put a spell to block all sound from leaving this room first though."
Vance casted a spell.
After doing this, he looked at the floor as three people emerged from his shadow in a pile.
"Well then. I suppose we should wake them up now."
